Im super excited that we are at the top of the league and that were in the champions league semifinals im just afraid that it might cost the team both, because we dont have a deep squad so by having the players play both the league and champions might affect the players and hurt them in the end, i hope not because i will be ecstatic if we at least win the league!!

I hope for a rematch of the '74 CL final. That would be awesome 40 years later. :)

No 40th anniversary rematch as it will be a Derbi Madrilenho in Lisbon. Congrats to all the Atletico players, Cholo Simeone, his staff and most of all the colchoneros out there! Forza Atleti!!

Congrats to Vincente Calderon for deservedly winning the first "La Liga" trophy since 1996. Great job from Diego Simeone!

Alvaro Dominguez seems to be very happy for his ex team mates. ;)

Really had serious concerns that this Atletico Madrid, for all their hard work this season would get that Neverkusen 2002 choke-syndrome, but great to see they are made of sterner stuff... either that or the current Barcelona and Real Madrid are mentally softer than usual... or maybe a bit of both. Anyhoo, congratulations to Atletico Madrid for showing that there is at least one major league in the world where money doesn't necessarily buy you success!

Congrats to all the Atleti fans, a great ending for the hard work displayed this season and looking forward to see them win the double this Saturday in the CL final against the Merengues, (Forza Atleti). Already have my tickets for the 27 July Atleti-San Jose Earthquakes match at the Stick. Yes some of the WC players will not be available but any chance to see a Spanish team in the bay area is a good thing. Viva Er Beti!!

Is it time for Atletico to have their own subsection in the forum? Think the winners of La Liga should have their own, although there aren't too many fans currently posting on the forum. If you build it, they will come.

The thread is 2 years old and has 20 posts after they have won the league. Not enough activity to warrant a sub forum.
