I heard that the team is in financial troubles and they might sell the team. Anybody heard about this?
A group headed by JJ Frangie is offering to run the team for a period of time. The Atlas socios are discussing whether or not to accept the offer. One of the sticking points is that the offer is for 30 years.
If pacheco continues this kind of form, he won't last on this team very long. He'll be jumping to the other side of the pond.
Big game this weekend....Atlas main game of the season, can also be a game if we truly deserve to have a saying to belong in the liguilla.
Haven't heard about that but something I've always found interesting about Atlas is that their modus operandi is as an 'asociacíon civil', rare for a Mexican team. They run the club similar to many clubs in Europe.
Colombian Jesus Antonio Quintero with Atlas Primera A team and could join the first team next season , sounds like an interesting player http://www.mediotiempo.com/noticia/77349/quintero-un-colombiano-en-inferiores-de-atlas/
Lavolpe considering benching GK Tabla Hernandez, who has made numerous mistakes and is definitely not a solid GK, i think that is wat is missing, u guys need a good Gk next season u guys should try to get Navarrete back since he is warming the bench in America or Cirilo Saucedo who wouldnt have a problem leaving Indios especially if they go down or even try to get Chuy Corona who needs to be in a better team http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...iza-la-volpe-enviar-al-039tabla039-a-la-banca
I still don't get why they let Jorge Bava go. He was 10 times better than anybody they had as a replacement.
¿Rumbo a Chile?
Is Atlas the only team playing behind closed doors this weekend? We pretty much have destiny in are own hands. We win and were in, and make this liguilla intresting and fun. Like Atlas always does
The game was pretty embarassing, Lavolpe is going to leave for sure and possibly some of the players.
Yeah it was and still is a pretty sad state of affairs. Im pissed. Someone bust 0ut the tequila, Im getting shitfaced this weekend
Bogado returns from his loan with Tigres and Lucas Ayala returns to Tigres http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...14/bogado-y-ayala-de-vuelta-en-atlas-y-tigres
Gonzalo Vargas who was on loan, is not staying bcuz Atlas cant afford him, he's a good player but i guess Atlas financial situation is bad http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/mexico/noticias/2009/05/23/con-vargas-el-problema-es-economico
Its shaping up to be an unwanted return of DePinho...think about it. As far as manager, I would like to see Peckerman, but chances are pretty slim. Most likely Brindisi will return.
Lavolpe makes it clear that he doesnt want Marioni in the team, either bruno leaves or Lavolpe will leave http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...29/se-va-marioni-o-me-voy-yo-ricardo-la-volpe
I think both should leave. LaVolpe is a good coach, but being the attention whore that he is there will always be a distraction. Marioni's best days are behind him too.
In case you're interested, Atlas have been drawn in the same pool as Santos Laguna, the New England Revolution and the Kansas City Wizards, for this year's SuperLiga.
Miguel Zepeda, one of the players that was supposed to be the next big thing for Mexico, returns to Atlas. http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...-se-convirtio-en-el-primer-refuerzo-rojinegro
Marioni, Achucarro and Pedro Hernandez some of the transferibles from Atlas http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/news/story?id=849283&s=mex&type=story
