Winner Game #2 Rhode Island earned the top seed by virtue of their victory over Dayton during the regular season. This is Dayton's seventh consecutive appearance in the championships and they are the defending tournament champions. Some of you may recall that Dayton advanced to the final sixteen last season by defeating Maryland and Miami before falling to UCLA.
