yeah, i was beside myself sunday. i thought they were only going to be on espn36O but then my son said they were on espn2 as well!! we had the iMac and telly going.
yeah, I was thrilled to see that it was on espn 2. San Mames seems like a classic ground and it's usually got a decent atmosphere.
Bilbao earns a 2 - 1 victory over Zaragoza at La Romareda. It's 3 more points towards Bilbao's solid start to the season. San Jose and Susaeta with the goals. Both of the goals were set up by Muniain; it's nice to see the youngster involved. Any thoughts on the season so far?

Re: Athletic Bilbao Thread 2007-2008 Well, Muniain is from Pamplona, Navarre which is considered part of the greater Basque country. They don't necessarily need to be from the Basque Country to play for the club. They'll also sign players that have played and developed at a club in the Basque region. As for the kit, I'm not sure if they manufactured it but they didn't have a major corporate kit sponsor until Adidas in 1980.

Another win for Bilbao, which keeps them seventh in the table. Llorente showed some great skill in his goal. It's definitely been an encouraging start to the season for Los Leones.
Re: Athletic Bilbao Thread 2007-2008 I believe prior to this season, Athletic Bilbao recently manufactured its own kit. It is now manufactured by Umbro and looks nearly identical to the Sunderland jersey. Given the history between the two cities and football, that resemblance is somewhat appropriate.
