Maybe since we're playing an Italian team they'll put us on a decent Channel. Being recent winners of the CL and premier league title holders hasn't seemed to make much of an impact with the television programmers
according to this site https://www.livesoccertv.com/match/3806141/atalanta-vs-liverpool/ in the US: TUDN.com, TUDNxtra, CBS All Access, TUDN App, ZonaFutbol
They’ll put us on a Chanel that they get the most money for the biggest attraction. Looks like I’ll be missing this one.
Bobby has to be dropped. Is Tsimi available? Is Thiago? There needs to be some rotation here, the citeh game is of greater importance methinks.
The conventional thinking is that if you win the first 4 games in the group, you earn the right to rest your players in the last 2 group games. But Klopp may not see it that way. If we were going to rest players in any game, what better time than this one? We have several key injuries at the moment, and a crucial game against Manchester City on the weekend. Klopp will trust the players to get the job done in those final two games in the group if it comes to that. And who knows, even with a changed team we could get a result against Atalanta.
Naby Keita and Joel Matip have returned to full training, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed, but Liverpool will make a late decision on their involvement against Atalanta BC. The Reds travel to Bergamo later today for their third match in Champions League Group D, against the side sitting behind them in second place. And Klopp’s squad has been boosted by Keita and Matip joining their teammates at Melwood following Saturday’s Premier League win over West Ham United, though Thiago Alcantara did not feature in the session. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/414531-liverpool-injury-fitness-news-keita-matip-thiago
also, the lesser-spotted Tsimi is back in training, according to this.... I hope so, coz Robbo is gonna need a break soon. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/...return-for-liverpool-ahead-of-atalanta-clash/ Kostas Tsimikas made his return to training ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League trip to Atalanta, with Joel Matip, Naby Keita and Billy Koumetio also back.
I think Thiago starts against City, and Klopp wants Pep to not be sure. It’s gotta be hard for Guardiola to prepare for Liverpool not knowing if Thiago is going to be in the team or not.
tomorrow I'd start Shaq-Jota-Mini, hold back the big 3 if needed, or at least rest them for Sunday. Ali TAA Rhys Gomez Robbo Jones Millie Gini Shaq Mini Jota
Joel Matip, Naby Keita and Kostas Tsimikas have all been pictured boarding the flight to Italy after their return to training.
So far Mini, likable as he seems is our biggest disappointment since he arrived. We know he’s better than he’s shown us.
at best he's becoming a 1-game in -- 5 maybe? -- player. if we can keep the lights on with Nat and Rhys (and Hendo in a pinch) and don't lose anyone else from the backline we might be able to hang in till Fab gets back.
I disagree. I think he's looked good and just needs to get more playing time. That being said he's not having the impact of Jota but there is a difference in cost.
So far he’s been a little disappointing for us. I think he showed is how good he is when he played against us. He had a really good game and that was the reason we bought him. I’m not comparing him to anyone, he just needs to turn it up a notch.
Even if we go with a changed team, Salah could still start. He doesn’t like missing Champions League games, and playing lots of games could be the way to get him into peak form against City. Klopp even started him in a League Cup match. Salah as the main striker with Jota, Minamino, and Shaqiri in behind would be fun to see. I’d like to see Keita thrown back in midfield, but who knows. Save Thiago and Matip for City.
