Ugh... I hope he doesn't play until at least late April; the risk of re-aggravating the injury is too high, and the nature of the injury is just too severe.

I was happy to hear this. I hope he isn't rushed back as billy said, but Heinze returning to fitness signals the beginning of the end for O'shite and Silvestre.

Good news indeed, but let's not jump the gun yet. Sticking a disclaimer on just because. :)

I'd rather he not play the rest of the season and not risk it for World Cup either.

Yeah, I'm selfish when it comes to United. :)

Seriously, it could be his whole career if he comes back too soon and reinjures himself. I'd rather have a fit, rested, hungry and pissed Heinze to start next season...

I'd keep him out, too. I want to see what Evra and Vidic can do before we bench one of them for Heinze. We know he's great, but let's let him heal completely and be ready for next year.

I'm not pleased by this news. Gabby is desperate to play in the WC and that's what this rush is about. He comes back too early and it could be the end of him.

I instantly think back to Ronaldo at Inter when he came back prematurely and blew out his knee within 20minutes of his return. I'm apprehensive. Gabby's kamikaze style + his sheer desperation to get to the WC does not = anything good to me.

If anything, for his sake, he should wait as long as possible. Maybe not even play for us again this season if Patty does well. Wait until the WC to make his comeback.

Gabby is going to want to play in the WC for sure. Now the question is does Alex let him do light training, reserve games etc in order to recover only to be sent to a full blooded World Cup game and get crocked again.

If Heinze proves he's fit to the Argentine manager and he picks him for the squad he will be going whether SAF likes it or not...

Players only get at best 4 world Cups in their careers. If you had the chance I'm sure you would go to... I would!

It would be irresponsible for him to risk a return too early.

I hope that Fergie does whatever is necessary to convince Heinze that he's not ready to return this season or play in the World Cup.

I'm sure if there is any chance at all for him to play in the WC, he will force it. Just hope this gamble of his doesn't crash spectacularly.
