Hmmm...looks like Chelsea's lineup. I think it will/would work better when Luis Garcia comes back and can play where you have Stevie G now. Then switch Stevie G with Didi Hamman (unless you prefer Hamman over Nunez...) I really have had a feeling that Liverpool would finish high this year. I thought at the beginning of the year that they might place 3rd. I'm just still waiting for them to go on a run.
Why change a winning plan: --------Kirkland Finnan--Sami-JC---JAR --------Xabi FSP----DiDi------Harry --------SG ------Mellor Dudek Warnock Nunez Diao Biscan (if healthy)
I agree. The only change that I could see is if Pongolle is taken out. He did play 120 minutes today. Nunez for Pongolle perhaps.
No, it is not the Chelsea line up - it is Rafa finally implementing his favoured two behind the front man - the attacking/pressing formations developed to such a devastating effect at Valencia.
Like I said. It's the same as the one Chelsea is running now. I'm not trying to knock Liverpool. I like Liverpool, that's why I am posting here. I not trolling. I just made an observation that it's the same formation Chelsea is running now so successfully.
You would? I don't like Kewell either but I would still play him over Nunez. I take it you wouldn't. I know Kewell has been a flop but at some point he just has to refind the form he had at Leeds when he was incredible.
We have all been saying that for a long time, but at this point we all are having doubts about if he will ever find his form. There is a good chance that Kewell is what we are seeing, and he will never recapture the form we saw when he was at Leeds.
That would be such a shame then because he was one of the top 10 players in the EPL his last year at Leeds I thought. He's become your Winston Bogarde except Kewell actually plays.
If we are to drop Kewell I would like to see Warnock given a longer run. For now Warnock will come off the bench while Harry gets the chance to regain full fitness by playing from the beginning (see Rafa's recent quotes in the past month about that) But unless Kewell shows a dramatic improvement soon his days might be numbered.
what i ment was to play this line up:- ---------------kirk --finnan--hyypia--carra--risse ---------------DiDi --------------Alonso --SNP--------Gerrard-----Garcia --------------Baros
Baros won't be back in time for Villa - so, I reckon Mellor will lead the line. Well, srikers or no strikers, we're winning games and I expect us to be confident at Villa Park, even though it is an awkward place to visit. I was gonna go up but then there arose the small matter of a holiday in Barbados , so expect to be sitting on the beach watching if not our match v. Villa, then definitely our match v. Olympiacos. Good luck, Reds!!! YNWA!!! PS Great support in extra time last night - hopefully, the fans will carry that to Villa PArk.
I realy like this line-up,but i wouldnt be surprised if i see nunez for SNP and Warnock for kewell!!!
Rowen steps down the tunnel, kisses the This is Anfield sign and to the roar of the crowd and to the sound of "You'll Never Walk Alone" runs onto the pitch.
Traore and Josemi are available. I agree though dont change that team, they had a great performance. Come on Harry - get a goal! We need this win!
