Liverpool depending on Bournemouth and Brighton FFS!!!!!!!!!!!! Fire the Absolute clueless man in the room and start afresh
Unfortunately it can and likely will if Slot stays. Our drop off this season under him has been a disgrace. Even if we scrape into the CL the fact remains that we'll be qualifying with about 60 pts, thats dreadful in itself.
Well that was depressing to watch, both for the quality of the team's effort and for the fact that it wasn't surprising. One more game (hurray) and one more chance to put in the rare solid performance. Now CL is really depending on it.
“I can understand at this moment in time they don’t have confidence or a lot of feeling that things can be much better next season but I think they are underestimating what a transfer window can do, what a new start can do… I think we know quite well what we have to improve. One of the things we have to improve is very very obvious, I would prefer not to talk about it here, if you miss nine players that can start a game of football and almost all of them are starters or have been for large parts of this season then if you add that then you can improve in a transfer window and add that to players that are playing in second season in the premier league. We saw the adaptation of the Premier League for a few of them… that will automatically improve…” Stop telling us about the transfer window and next season. He’s had a full week of training to prepare for these games and has come up with NOTHING. He had his league winning midfield available to him. He had 3 of his first choice back 4. This after all season saying that we play 3 games a week and don’t have time to work on things on the training pitch.
Is slipping not an error? He lost concentration and gifted them a goal right as we had gone in the ascendancy. Right after Rio had hit the post.
saw that today and have been seeing it all season. I made a comment once that my Sunday league team defended better and someone on this forum jumped down my throat for it. This has been our defending all season. This is on Slot. Yes, we could use a good DM to protect the back line, but we didn't have much of a problem with Grav in there last season
I was looking at that as it was developing and screaming "what are we doing!!!!???" How does a professional team, with intelligent players and superior coaching (one hopes), end up so out of sorts that you've got a left back (that sole liverpool player is Kerkez) covering on the right against 3! AV attacking players.... it's a disgrace. My high school team back in our "clogger" glory days could have managed a better shape than is happening there....
Ryan Gravenberch never once needed a rest last season. Now we are playing one game a week. There has been one match where he was left out of the starting lineup. And now he is being substituted early in matches. All while Alexis Mac Allister continues to put in atrocious performances. He has now taken it a step further by embarrassing the club with his pathetic attempt to get the opponent sent off.
Liverpool play a high line and don't play offside so they're disjointed at the back and feel like there's a lot of space for me to run into. Liverpool FC told why they concede so much as key weakness revealed | The Standard
One of the most embarrassing performances I've ever seen, we're in Hodgson/Rogers territory, sack Slot already!
Last 9 PL games: 3 Wins 2 Draws 4 Losses Wolves L Spurs D Brighton L Fulham W Everton W Palace W United L Chelsea D Villa L That's putrid. And yet for the purposes of the club - we still hold our future in our own hands.
I think I’m missing something because I can’t see why he would hold that view. Is he going to cast out the majority of the players and completely reset?
It certainly sounds that way. Comments like that must be going down really well in the dressing room which is full of PL-winning players.
Slot's really turning into a bit of a shambles. There is no question he has had to deal with some stuff beyond his control. But when you focus on everything he does control it really is very damning. Objectively he's been a disaster this season and there is no evidence he will be better next season.
