I have a feeling Ali, Mo and Curtis will be involved from the start.

If it's a draw or a win for us, then yes.

If we draw, then we must pick up a point from the final game, because Bournemouth can end up with 61 points, if they win their remaining games.

I was assuming they don't beat Man City.

But I guess, assuming anything this year is probably unwise!

I mean one could assume that Burnley won't manage to draw against the Arses, but one could be wrong there too.....

Alisson Becker and Florian Wirtz are being monitored ahead of Liverpool's visit to Aston Villa, but Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah are expected to be available.

Head coach Arne Slot told reporters on Thursday morning: "Ibou is OK, trained with us. Mo will be available tomorrow for only a few minutes, but hopefully can come in.

"Alisson trains with us again, let's see where he is tomorrow, if he is ready already or has to wait one more week.

"Stomach infection [for Wirtz], so let's see how fit he is for tomorrow. He's on antibiotics. Let's see if he's ready to play tomorrow."

A win tomorrow gives Villa CL - gives them 62 points and guarantees at least 5th spot. Bournemouth will max out at 61.

Also - a win for us 100% gets us CL.

So a draw it is then!

and nerves galore on the final day.

we had back to back seasons under klopp where we needed the last day to make CL if I recall - while I'm sure I was nervous at the time - I am sure I knew that a Klopp team would do it.

    this team with slot.....

This is it right - and why I’d like to replace Slot. I’m no longer the believer I was once and will soon to be again

Wirtz sure does get sick a lot, 3rd time this season if I recall.

No clue as to how or who will play? We all dream of a team of Rio's?

Would be really nice if Champions League gets secured this weekend. It’s just as likely to happen with other results as it is by Liverpool winning.

Next week at Anfield should be about saying farewell to Mo and Andy. It would be quite sad if it’s a tense occasion because we are afraid Bournemouth or Brighton is going to finish ahead of us.

Rumors are that Isak will miss again.

Turning out to be the worst signing ever (yes let's see what next year brings)

With all of these injuries hitting us I can't help thinking how useful it might have been for Slot to have given playing time to more kids this season to bring them along , develop them to potentially be useful now when injuries bite.

I don't follow the youth teams much but I get the impression they've been hit with quite a few injuries eg Danns, Baj and maybe others? So maybe slim pickings.

That doesn't explain Ramsay or Nyoni gathering so many splinters mind you. Especially Nyoni.

Yep - I've been very disappointed with Nyonis minutes.

I know the mantra is they see him in training etc etc. but he's shown enough that he should be given more time.

And there have been plenty of games where he couldn't do worse than MacCallister.
