Our fun winning streak comes to an unfortunate end against a quality Pool team but there was a lot to like about the performance. More of that from Martinelli would be amazing.
Time to bounce back against a Villa team who have been in similar recent form to us (3W 2L vs 4W 1L). Both teams need wins for European ambitions but I feel we have the quality to get the job done.

So far no injuries reported, but doesn't look like anyone will be returning into the team either.

Really need to get back on the winners list and keep the pressure on the top 4.

Arsenal with a 2-1 win is my tip, COYG!

    Thanks for the thread mate.

This seems a very pivotal match, and at a ground where the home support should be massive.

In fact, I just heard the TotallyFootball pundits say this is Arsenal‘s biggest game of the year.

Thanks dudes for makin everyone nervous!

Oh, congrats to her! That is just about the best age in a little human. I really miss the 3-6 years of my kids. Now they're young adults and I'm appreciating and proud of them at that stage, but those early childhood years were generally gold! And enjoy the cake!

Why not? Tommy's not likely read yet. Would you want to take White out of his stalwart RCB role?

I guess I figure he can't go 90, so maybe he goes 60, and then you move White and bring in Rob?

Did Cedric pick up a knock on Weds that I'm not aware of?

Also it's the last game before a 16 day Interlull break so I expect Mikel will throw caution to the wind

Only changes from Liverpool are Ramsdale with a hip injury and Martinelli with illness.

Two deputizations in the XI today (Leno & ESR). Personally I've been waiting impatiently for the latter. They both should be ready so LET'S GO!

Leno is goal concerns me, but ESR starting is excellent.

Really bad timing for Martinelli that Pool match was just about his best for the club. Disappointing he got ill, wonder if its covid.

Ramsdale's injury: the good news is that he's got a 2-week interlull to recover; the bad news is that he was just called up for England and may miss his chance to unseat Pickford.

3' Nice move down the right (as usual!) but the end product from my boy Emile just wasn't there. :(

That does suck. Given it's this late in qualifying, there really aren't any legitimate chances left to "unseat" the keeper prior to the world cup. Not saying it would've happened, but certainly an opportunity missed.

Our movement in the final third is fantastic so far. We’re playing like we have at least 4-5 goals in us today if we keep this up

18' another brilliant move by Saka on the right, after an amazing (lucky?) cross field ball from ESR. Unfortunately no end product again this time... Laca/ESR couldn't latch onto the final ball properly. TBF it came at them very fast, from very close.

We need to finish one of these! As per usual...

1-0! From you know who? BUKAYO SAKA!!! :D

Edit: Not exactly a striker's finish, but he slotted it through a forest of legs so Emi wasn't able to get to it.
