I have just read a couple of books on the Irish soccer scene ...notably Paul Howards book called the 2 Gaffers and Roys book , ( I haven't read Micks or Quinny's just yet but I am sure i will get around to it )

The one thing I did notice from reading these is that both Roy Evans and Maurice Setters were the biggest muppet /lackies ever to be involved with a national team ...that is if both authors are to be believed .

What does anyone think about this ?

Evans showed himself to be a sh1t strrer in Saipan (about the setup and diet requirements) and Setters in the US (when he tried to get the team to run their H0les off in 100 degrees )

Does the likes of Evans deserve a contract fo 120k to be a complete waste of space ?

Would it not be more prudent to have Kerr or Givens fulfill this role ?

Who is Evans and who was Setters in the whole scheme of things?

I remember when Charlton quit and Setters refused to follow, I think it was another case of trying to cash in on the rest of his contract. I know absolutely nothing about Evans.
