Just watch this episode of studio almalaeb. Notice the hatred from Hakeem's dog towards the respectful football expert Nazar Ashraf. No respect whatsoever to those who built Iraqi football from the people who led the NT without any prior achievements and those who selected players based on personal relationships.
predictions 0-3 Korea, 0-2 Uzbekistan, 0-2 Iran. I like Radhi Shenshil, but the team is a mess (thanks to you know who) and I can't see him fixing this in a few weeks.
Don't be so pessimistic. I know Hakeem Shaker screwed up things badly and we are facing a tough task, but I don't think Jordan and Palestine are better than us. They are both struggling at the moment, so I think there is a good possibility that we will advance from the group, and that is my minimum requirement for Iraq.
Players are beginning to speak out about the previous coach. Ahmed Yasin was the first to speak out about this and that is why i respect the guy. I really hope now that the daddy of Saif Salman, Humam, Mohanned and Adnan is gone that they will get the same treatment as any other player.
Bassim Abbas speaking out about Hakim Shaker: https://www.facebook.com/iraqgfpg/p...509119664860/1020270267988737/?type=1&theater
Regarding other FIFA member associations, the following decisions were taken: - Iraq: independent group to travel to Iraq with FIFA Vice-President HRH Prince Ali bin al Hussein to assess the security situation in view of the possibility of international matches being played there Good step forward if the ban gets lifted
Saif Salman should be dropped. He is no NT material and only there because Hakim Shaker favoured him over others. Undeserved penalty from Kuwait.
Ridiculous tackles. But (hopefully) we left the Hakeem period behind us, everyone will be assessed based on his performances and nothing else.
Iraq 1-1 Kuwait. Well what can I say. Average match. Hopefully Radhi has a better idea who he is going to bring to Australia. Younis rescued us as usual
It was not a great game but you can't expect miracles from the coach in a few days. He managed to get a draw with 10 men and i think that's good as a result and for the morale of the players.
He clearly experimented with the players. I think we will see a better game against Uzbekistan. Ali Adnan and Yaser Kasim will join the team, and I think Justin Meram will get a chance. I want to see more from Ahmed Yasin and Osama Rashid as well.
It's a relief to know that underperformers will be dropped/benched. Multiple players including Humam and Saif had a guaranteed spot in the starting eleven in the past even though their performance was and is rubbish. We still have a serious problem in the attack.
Better make mistakes now than in the Asian Cup. We have a problem in attack indeed. But nobody from this lineup except for a few deserve to be starters. Let's see what the inclusion of Yaser Kasim and Ali Adnan means for the team. Justin Meram as well.
I am also disappointed about Marwan. He is not the solution for our striker absence. It seems that scoring goals against Olympic teams somehow is easier
I can't blame any striker in the NT (except for Amjad Radhi ) in these circumstances. We create very few chances in each game and miss a playmaker.
True. The first step in rebuilding our national team should be eliminating all possible sources of problems (players that are underperforming, attitude problems) I think Saif Salman is not good enough for the NT for example. He is losing the ball too much and not contributing to the team. Mahdi Kamil, Samih Saeed, Ali Faez. You can add many players to this list. We have to focus on the Asian Cup but in 6 months we will start our WCQ campaign for Russia 2018, and we still rely on the old Younis and Mahdi Karim. Kind of sad if you ask me. I am fed up with short term solutions. We need to build a new team for the long run.
This was that kind of loss you wouldn't call a loss. We played a very bad first half, disorganized. But we came back in the second half. Fielding Younis gives the players so much confidence. Then you have the likes of Amjad Kalaf and Ahmed Yasin, Humam. Justin Meram came on and almost scored. Abdul Qadir Tariq was also very promising. Hammadi, Faez, Bahjat, Saad Abdul Amir and Walid Salem proved why they don't deserve to be starters. The problem we have with referees is never ending...
I have to say, i didn't watch the game very attentive but the first half was bad. In the second half we played a lot better but i didn't get why justin was brought in that late. Anyhow, shneishel got the chance to see all the players in action. From now on he should work on the starting eleven.
Hello Iraqis! www.footballpalestine.blogspot.com are thinking of doing an Asian Cup (Group D) preview on Youtube Hangout, like they did ahead of the Challenge Cup- here's the video: Anyone interested in participating and representing Iraq?
