I looked on Rakuten and didn't see any that ship the new DS Lights to Oz. You could always use a forwarding service like Tenso...
Iniesta's X-fly 4 available here, but no mention they are made in where. Since the C3, followed by the 2002, none of their boots were made in japan. https://item.rakuten.co.jp/vissel/2018102261/ update: according to this link they are made in Vietnam: https://item.rakuten.co.jp/alpen/8200121409/
Yeah that seems to be their thing these days unfortunately. You'd think with Mizuno making high end boots in Japan that Asics would do the same.
Hello everyone. Sorry if this question had been asked. May I know, what is the fitting for DS Light X-Fly 3? From my search in these forums, I have found people saying that for ds light 1, and 2, we should drop half a size. But what about ds light 3? I think they would use the same last as 1 and 2. But a friend of mine who had gone to Japan and tried it on his feet, had told me that for his feet, it was true to size. Now I am confused. Kindly, anyone who knows about this, please help. Thank you.
They run a half size big. What's confusing is that if you go by Japanese size alone they run true to size, but using the European and American sizes they run big. For example In Mizuno I wear a US 8.5 EU 41 JP 26.5 But in Asics its a US 8 EU 40.5 JP 26.5 I can even drop down to a US 7.5 sometimes.
Kohei blog also commented on the xfly 3 & 4.....http://blog.livedoor.jp/koheisblog/archives/9933066.html Use Google translate
Thank you derbyyank13 for your reply. Fro your response, I think it is safe to go with my usual Japanese sizing (cm), right? Thank you kiongsm for your suggestion. I read through kohei's review on the x fly 4. But I did not know what is his feet size, and whether he went true to size. I assume his feet is 26.5cm (as he used that as his baseline), and he went with his usual size. Thank you for your help
hahaha oh man Asics boots have the weirdest sizings. hope it works out for ya! for reference the X-fly ones i had to go down a full-size.
I am thinking of buying the X-FLY 4 too. How is the sizing after u bought it? I am 27.5 on my mizuno's, so i assume i will have to order 27.5 also. any reviews also any1? most notably, how does it stack up against mizuno morelia neo 2 as it looks like the same type
I have the x-fly 1. I am a 28cm in Mizuno but in the x-fly I had to go up half a size as they ran half a size big. When I got hack from Japan I measured the x-fly to my Morelia as and was exactly the same length.
Eh. check in with @derbyyank13 or try em on for size cause X-flys are notorious for being super off for sizing. I needed to go a full size down for the first x-fly. I'd say, unless you're getting them at a good price, you're better off skipping them and getting the Morelia Neo 2 instead.
you guys remember the asics TIGREOR IT? https://www.lovell-rugby.co.uk/Rugby-Boots/Asics/Tigreor-IT-FG-Football-Boots-Blue-or-Orange
For me the difference in the x-fly and Morelia neo is the width. The neo is much tighter in the toe box than the x-fly. I wanted to buy the neo’s but my feet couldn’t fit in them. For me a 28cm Morelia 2 is the same length as a 28.5cm x-fly.
https://www.lovellsoccer.co.uk/Foot...MIi8-MoY_64AIVzbftCh1fTwp-EAQYBSABEgIRX_D_BwE Leather version. I would have jumped at these but not my size. @kiongsm how are the lengths of the studs?
with my previous pair of the tigreor IT, it's a uk6.0 (25.0) compared to a UK6.5 (25.5cm) in the neo 2 or morelia II studs length, errrr, can tell or recall....never seems to have measured them....but looks maybe 1-2mm shorter (?)
So my pair arrived .not k leather bur it feels pretty soft and passed. Forefoot is pretty tight. Can't really complain considering its price though tbh.
yeah......most Italian website mentioned microfibre/synthetic upper.....tightness shud be due to the rubber fins/panels.....but overall should be pretty comfortable think i'll pass.....save YEN for the monarcida neo 2 JP (blue-silver-black) when they go on sale, maybe end 2019 or early 2020...
thanks for the reply guys! looks like i will skip the x-fly 4 and stick to my morelia neos kohei blog and youtube reviews seems to rate it slightly higher than neos btw
So has anyone tried the x-fly 4 yet? They rate very high, right up there with the new Rebula 3, hard to know which one to go for. It looks like Asics got an actual pro footballer (Iniesta perhaps?) to tell them what was wrong with the x-fly3, the result being the x-fly4. Very hard to find much info on them, just about impossible to buy them outside of Asia, Rakuten seems the best option.
They are really nice but I personally prefer the new Rebulas. Still one of the bloggers in Japan says its the perfect boot.
