Damn. I know you don't represent all Chinese but you certainly did stained my affinity toward China. Oh and btw, Korea beat China in basketball.

    Actually I watched that match.
Phillipine was up by 2pts and Korea had to foul to stop the clock.
Pinoy player missed both free throws and Korea made 3 pointer at the buzz. (where is the fix? refs cant make players to miss free throw or make 3 pointer at the buzz)

I think Chinese bball team was a bit overconfident just like Italy in WC.
anyway that was heck of a game (for koreans)

Yao Ming is going to sign a 4 years contract with Rockets soon. It worths almost 18 millions bucks.

then why did the Korean root for Turkey during the China vs Turkey match?

Koreans rooted for Turkey against any team thru out whole tournament. (even the last match against Korea)

Not many people really paid attention to Turkey till recently.
then just prior to WC, Korean war veterans begun promoting Turkey and made Turkey supporters and it became quite famous. (if you can check korean message boards, you can easily find those newsletters about Turkey- it had lists of reasons why Koreans should support Turkey etc)

also Turkish Korean War veterans requested to Korean government to pay their bill to come to Korea and watch WC games. and it became political issue.

Now, Turkey supporters are asking ppl to support them cuz they were 'allies' during Korean war, and China was on opposite side during that time.
Who would you expect them to support?

Guess who Korean supported when China faced Brazil and Costa Rica.

This just shows that Chinese society is so much more enlightened in terms of giving women an opportunity to express themselves through athletics than Korea is.

Let's stop this endless China-Korea debate.

Both countries are good in their own way, and I think it will be hard for us Korean and Chinese fans to argue with one another all the way up to 2005 when Asian qualifiers begin.

So let us rest this topic in peace.
