The thing is that the IFF havent got any good friendlies, is because of Ahmadinejads political views. I remember that before the world cup, many team cancelled their friendlies with Iran, because of his statements against holocaus. So i guess ure guy are going to play team like Jordan the next couple of months, if not years...

Brazil are playing Kuwait Sports Club and NOT Kuwait National Team.

The match was supposed to be before the WC, but was postponed... I remember there was a thread here about the match.

The match now can not be cancelled or postponed according to the deal signed last January.

The match is in celebration of 50 years of Kuwait SC.

Kuwait SC to Kuwait NT is like Chelsea to England NT.

or in other words, Kuwait SC is the capital city's local league team that does not represent the whole nation. They will be playing Brazil with their international players (ie not Kuwaiti players). I heard that they will be inviting some players from neibouring countries to play with them.

BEIRUT: Five-time world champions Brazil have agreed in principle to play a friendly exhibition match in Lebanon with the tentative date set for October 10, announced the Lebanon Football Association recently.

The idea of Brazil playing a friendly in Lebanon, which is limping back to normalcy after the recent hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel, emanated when Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva called upon the national team to play in a friendly in the strife-torn country.

"The national team goes to Kuwait, why can't we play a game in Lebanon for peace?" Silva had said. "Lebanon needs help from the Brazilian national team. Who says that the national team cannot play a game to symbolise peace?"

Soon after this, the Lebanon FA received a call from Brazil’s ambassador to Lebanon informing them that the Brazilian Football Association (Confederaçao Brasileira de Futebol) had agree to hold the match and requesting for a formal request.

If the match takes place, it will be Brazil’s second friendly during their West Asian tour after their game against Kuwait League champions Kuwait Sports Club on October 7.

not 100% sure... but it is a bit harder than money alone!!! The terms and conditions of the deal are endless... one of these requests the host to guarantee a room in a five-star hotel for each player with PS2 and a number of games (named) with no less than a 32' Plasma TV and a bean bag!!!:D

that's only one, you could imagine the rest... in regard to food, they request by brand or by calorie content:rolleyes:

I guess FIFA themselves are confused with the names here!!!

nothing is being said about the Singapore match yet...

I just found the thread I made for the Kuwait SC match against Brazil... apparently the deal was signed before January 2006!!! It has been an eventful year already!!!

anyways, the thread sank and was not updated about the cancellation of the match.

    the thread is here

BEIRUT: Five-time world champions Brazil will not be playing a friendly against Lebanon on October 10, 2006, announced the Lebanon Football Association on Thursday.

The FA spokesman said they had received "a phone call from the Brazilian embassy" that the match was off as the former world champions are already scheduled to play Ecuador on that day.

The FA has now proposed November 15 as a probable date for the friendly whose idea took roots after the President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, suggested that Brazil play a match for peace in the war-torn country.

Brazil play Kuwaiti champions Kuwait Sports Club in Kuwait City on October 7 before playing Ecuador three days later though the venue has not yet been decided.
