A thread to talk about our neighbours, because Japan needs them to continue his improvement. You can make debats or post football videos about every country in Asia. Obviously we don't accept trolls, provocations, full of hate messages or even implied hate speech against any nation.

We'll start with a video of the match Greece 0 - 2 South Korea since Japan is more or less concerned :

It was the return of Park Chu-Young and I was very surprised to see him in good form. He scored the first goal. Son Heung-Min scored too. However Jung, the keeper, looked awful.

I hope that Greece was close to his best level because except for 3 shots on the korean posts, they seemed quite weak. Maybe a good new for Japan.

    Australia lost 3-4 against Ecuador...after leading 3-0 :

    I haven't see the match.

    Iran lost 2-1 against Guinea...

Yesterday, there was Asian Cup 2015 qualifiers too. Don't hesitate to post about it. Every peaceful contributor is welcome.

Well, Australia was dumb. And Iran losing to Guinea is worrying for them. Even in a friendly game.

First half we were excellent, as we dominated Ecuador. We had many youngsters starting in that match, who i think were very good in the first half especially the centre back pairing of Curtis Good and Matthew Spiranovic, as we were quite solid. Second half was a different story, as Ecuador made changes and plus the red card to Mitch Langerak changed the match completely. Also, the inexperience from the boys started to show, when Ecuador were starting to carve us up with their counter-attacks with the pace of Antonio Valenica and Jefferson Montero.

At this stage I would say Matthew Spiranovic and Curtis Good. Both were impressive in the first half against Ecuador, especially Curtis good. Lucas Neil (his experience may get him over the line) may go to brazil but I'm not 100% sure at this stage, also at the same time needs to perform and play for Watford.Rhys Williams was another likely option, but unfortunately he got injured for Middlesbrough.

Who can replace Robbie Kruse by the way? Is he the best player the Australia NT has?

Matthew Leckie (most likely will start in brazil) or Ben Halloran. Well, on the form his displayed for the national team i would say yes. Will we miss him heaps come Brazil. Matthew Leckie might not have the same technical skills as Robbie does, but imo matches up pretty close with raw speed.

    Very sad news to hear.

He was really really promising at U17 FWC iirc and was the best in his generation in Australia. People going on about the next Harry Kewell etc. Asia has probably lost now one of its future big stars.

Very unfortunate to die of testicular cancer which in general has a good prognosis amongst the cancers.

he was a brilliant young player, Big Sam was on skysports yesterday talking about him and was asked how good he could of been and he said if it wasn't for cancer he would of been a regular in the first team last season, crazy

    RIP young man

The south korean list for WC, with some J-League players.

    Not Park Joo-Ho... But Yun Suk-Young o_O
Park C-Y is in, if I'm not wrong the coach explained he has "nobody to replace him". His goal vs Greece in march was determinant.

Iran to play Belarus tomorrow in Austria. Should be an interesting test for us. We will play Montenegro and Angola this month too.

Apparently it is a test bed for our 30 men list to decrease it to last 23 list for WC. It will be a combination of our European based and some new faces in experimental level for different tactics with different players. It will be close to our full squad.

Here is a list close to 30 men

Just scroll down to 30 men squad.

Davari should start in goal at WC or do you think Carlos will go on experience of Ahmadi?

I don't know but CQ trusts foreign based player more than IPL based. If I had the say I would pick Sosha Makani or Rahman Ahmadi.
