Here are some average attendances over Asian clubs:

Some leagues are missing, anyone got for example the attendances of Saudi Arabian, Tunisian, Egyptian, Nigerian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi leagues?

J-League attendances are pretty impressive by the way

Believe it or not, the average attenda of J-League is better than Serie A.

In Japan NPB (baseball league) is still much bigger than J-League. (2007 Total attendance: NPB 20,406,598, J-League 5,838,771).
When soccer becomes Nr.1 sport in Japan then J-League will dramastically improve again.

    India in the list:

    Mohun Bagan AC (19 000)
    Churchill Brothers SC (12 000)
    Salgaocar SC (12 000)

This shows that there are sings of football improvement in India.
East Bengal and Dempo are having AFC Cup this year in March which can expose these teams some what internationally.

I think that list is slightly outdated.

7 of Australias 8 teams average more than 10,000. The only team who doesnt is Perth who average about 8,000 at the moment.

With over a billion people in India, it kind of makes those numbers look less impressive.
