I think it's GVB - he's a leftie and he played left-back for Holland. With consistent form he should be back on the National Team. Anyhow, I got a copy of the Gunners Magazine with Seaman on the front and it had an article on GVB - he can play left back and cover for Cole. Great magazine . . . finally I found a mag shop that carries Arsenal's mag! I see Man U's mag everywhere here in Vancouver and some shops even carried Leeds U's mag! ARGGGHHHHH . . . now I can go and buy the mag every month . . . actually maybe I should get a subscription but I might as well spend the money on Arsenal Plus. Anyone in America on Arsenal Plus?
Gio can do a job at left back. In the great scheme of things it could be worse, we could be playing better teams than West Ham and Farnborough.
Speaking of Oleg, I'd like to put in an early nomination for Luzhny for the ArseAm Underappreciated Player of the Year Award, or whatever it's called. I think he's been really solid this year. Great on defense, and doing a nice job on the overlapping runs, too. His long pass to Henry should have put us 1-0 on ManU earlier this year, and his long pass to Henry *did* put us up 2-1 on Roma. Viva Oleg!
I hope Arsene puts Matty Upson to replace Ashley at left-back. He has done it in the past and Matty needs to play. However, I've got the feeling that Gio will get the nod, which is also fine by me...
