Agreed. Anytime you mix sharp instruments and a man's groin, it's very serious. :)

I just had a similar operation Jan. 17 and it took until this week for me to start to feel normal again--and I'm teaching rather than playing soccer for a living.

I'd bet at least four and six wouldn't surprise me.

This is precisely why we have GVB. Grimandi-esque, but better.

Cole was suspended for Sunday's match against Charlton, so he wouldn't have played anyway.

But Lauren is *also* suspended for the Charlton match, so now what do we do? Is it time for Volz? Do we try Toure there? Maybe Ray Parlour?

Last thing about suspensions: thought I heard that Vieira was also suspended for Charlton, but I didn't see anything about it on the official FA site (which sucks, by the way). They might have screwed up, being the fat cat, inept organization that they are...

Anyone know the deal with Paddy?

yep cole is out, sad for the gunners and england but barca`s midfield dynamo phillip cocu and defense kingpin carles puyol are sidelined for lengthy periods. good news for barca is that swedish international patrick anderson is back just like midfield playmaker luis enrique is returning to form.
man city`s paulo wanchope is out for the season

Paddy is indeed out, but Freddie could be back (although I'm not holding my breath).

As much as I like Ash, I'm not too worried about missing him because I'm confident Gio will do a good job. Missing Lauren could hurt, especially if (as the above link suggests) Luzhny is taking his place. I'd rather see Toure in there, although I've been itching to see Volz.
