Remember 5 years ago Nice was leading the league in Janurary and then they took a nose dive.

I do hope he doesn't manage his travel company the same way he does with his team.

Why spending money, when cheap is enough ?

LOL good stuff, Pierre-Henri. Though there's no doubt Rousselot deserves credit for the way he's been managing his team, and also, to go back earlier in the thread, I really don't understand why Nancy are deemed "unfashionable" as they're actually an exciting (as in attacking) team to watch.

I'm Alsatian. No team from Lorraine will ever be fashionable.

(well, I like them actually, but I can't say it. Pride.)

Who would have thought that Lyon's biggest threat this season would be from a bunch of Nancy boys?

I do so love Ligue 1!

Well things haven't been the same the past couple of years not facing a heated relegation battle.
I feel like things are right in the world though, as we are now where we were meant to be.... Just floating above the relegation line.

Great win today temporarily stops the bleeding.... Given the teams current composition though, we are going to go down to the wire this year.

I think ASNL will comfortably avoid the drop this season, there are alot worse teams in the league this year.

Well as it is we are only 4 points above the drop. With that said, we are only 11 points below the Champions League....:D

I'll take mid table at years end though.

I imagine that you're talking about the supporter groups? Not as powerful as at PSG, but then again, that might be a good thing.

As for Feret and Hammar.... Go ahead and have them... for the right price of course :D.

Hammar has so much upside, I think it would be both a disservice to him and the club to sell him now.

Just wait 3 or 4 years, and buy him once his value has gone up 5 million euros.

Ok, so if ASNL don't beat Arles this weekend, then they deserve and will be relegated.
This relegation battle is pretty intense and any of 9 teams or so are battling for their collective lives.
    Good stuff.
It isn't really an exciting L1 season for me if ASNL aren't in danger of dropping.

I want Monaco to stay up so they can sign Trezeguet. Auxerre and Nancy can both go.

Well here's my finger to you then sportboy333.

If you posted anywhere else it would be one thing! But on the official ASNL thread! Heresy!

For pete's sake we can't even beat Arles.... Down we go.

If its between Nancy and Caen then I'd rather save Nancy. How's that ? I think both teams have very similar fans.

Well we couldn't even beat a crippled Arles team at home.
Doesn't look good if you ask me.

With PSG and Lille in 2 of the next 3 games, I'm not optimistic at all.

What's the scoop? I'm out of the loop on this one?

Anyways... big win against Nice keeps us in the mix... keeps Nice in the relegation mix as well.

We need 4 points the last 2 games.

Who would have thought that 46 points might not be good enough....
Most years 42 is considered safe. This relegation battle is nuts. Any of 9 potential teams could make the drop last year!

I'd love nothing more than to see Lyon send Monaco down.... but I'm not sold on it..

Essentially a draw gets Lyon into the CL, and Monaco will be playing for their lives...

For us, beating Rennes at Rennes was the game of the year. With Lens to play on Sunday, I think we'll be ok..... knocks on wood.
