Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] What exactly is going on with Monaco? I'm shocked to see them so low in the table after being in CL final only a few years ago!
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] A lot of players from the CL final team are gone. They miss Maicon and Squilacci in defense. 3 of the 4 players who started in defense vs Lens are new signings. I think the team will improve because it takes a while for the new players to intergrate. 3 main attackers, Kallon, Koller, and Grax werent on the team last year and Di Vaio was only there for 6 months. Once there is set lineup the team will play better.
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] Monaco beat Le Mans 2-1 at Stade Louis II with goals from Toure in the 9th min. and Menez in the 80th.

Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] Lazlo Boloni, the manager was dissmissed following a 3-1 loss to Toulouse.
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] Yaya Toure is already talking shit about his former coach. http://66.218.71.231/language/trans...w.lequipe.fr/Football/20061023_142826_01.html
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] Yeah hes one of the best players and the manager didnt have much faith in him. Theres no excuse for that. Hopefully the new guy will get more out of him and play him in his proper role.
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] If you all had the chance, what positions would you improve so Monaco would be better?
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] I'd start from the back first because its the weakest. Givet is the only solid player back there. Monsoreau, Dos Santos, Modesto, Bolivar, Cufre, I mean come on, these guys are mediocre at best.
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] Too many players are playing out of their positions. Put 'em back where they belong and we should see this: ------------------Koller------------------ --Menez--------------------------Gakpe-- -----------------Meriem------------------ ----------Toure---------Bernardi---------- -Cufre---------------------------Modesto- --------Monsoreau--------Givet----------- ------------------Roma-------------------
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] Both of the lateral backs are shakey as hell. The rest of the team might be better then fine..... Even solid!
Re: AS Monaco thread 2006-07[R] Guidolin seems to be doing a much better job at Palermo. Maybe its those pink uni's.
