I don't totally understand political status of Palestine.... so I ask this question http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/federation/01/24/fifastatuten2009_e.pdf REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE APPLICATION OF THE STATUTES 16 Nationality entitling players to represent more than one Association 1. A Player who, under the terms of art. 15, is eligible to represent more than one Association on account of his nationality, may play in an international match for one of these Associations only if, in addition to having the relevant nationality, he fulfi ls at least one of the following conditions: (a) He was born on the territory of the relevant Association; (b) His biological mother or biological father was born on the territory of the relevant Association; (c) His grandmother or grandfather was born on the territory of the relevant Association; (d) He has lived continuously on the territory of the relevant Association for at least two years. 17 Acquisition of a new nationality Any Player who refers to art. 15 par. 1 to assume a new nationality and who has not played international football in accordance with art. 15 par. 2 shall be eligible to play for the new representative team only if he fulfi ls one of the following conditions: (a) He was born on the territory of the relevant Association; (b) His biological mother or biological father was born on the territory of the relevant Association; (c) His grandmother or grandfather was born on the territory of the relevant Association; (d) He has lived continuously for at least five years after reaching the age of 18 on the territory of the relevant Association. which article (16/17) is suitable for Israel/Palestine cases ?
On a similar subject, I am trying to find out information on if it's true that any Jew in the world is eligible to play for Israel as they are entitled to Israeli citizenship?
You have to be a citizen of Israel to play for Israel. If a jew in Argentina is not a citizen he can't play. Now, how easy it is for him to become a citizen may be easy because he is jewish, but to make the leap that any jew can play for Israel easily is a bit of a stretch because one is controlled by Israeli law (becoming a citizen), and the other is controlled by football associations (playing for Israel.
well if ur a jew is rather easy to become Israeli, extra mega duper easy if u have papers that probe that u are indeed one....in the Pali issue, well i guess Israeli arabs can become Palestinians also rather easily and the Israeli NT doesn't have too many arabs playing for us, only Kiyal/Ghadir/Ottman and the ones who already played and are....well old and not in the best shape like Badier, Suan or Toama
