Definitely a thing in basketball, too. Player drives to the hoop and knows he has a guy spotting up for the corner 3, so he doesn't even have to look to make the pass. Which may explain the Odegaard and Saka jump shot celebration if it is something that comes up on the training ground.
Good point! You certainly see that with the now patented de Bruyne curled assist pass from the half space
I love that they enjoy doing that celebration, but man, their form on the jump shot is sooooo painful to look at. It's clear they've never touched a basketball before
That was a SICK move. He did it so fast I couldn't really perceive it completely at the time. It took me a few replays to fully grok. It's cool that we have someone with such amazing ball/control skills. And the real payoff is when he does that more and it leads to more goals.
Since The Bends they've never put a foot wrong, IMHO. I even think Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief are criminally underrated.
It's still really cool. The ever-so-slight drag/pause on the ball just before the flick freezes the defender.
Dude I was freaking out about this at the time, check earlier in this thread lol. The skill got kinda buried because the Saka goal happened right after. But has anyone seen somebody do an elastico, while dribbling at speed at a defender, to get a pass through the backline and put a player in on goal? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. Fogging insane
Zinchenko locked the pitch down. There was one point he was way up the field and the commentator said they would love to see his heat map on the pitch. Haven't seen someone cover that match pitch that enthusiastically since Ramsey.
People that don't rate those albums also think Creep is their greatest work. It's unfortunate that we probably won't see another album from these dudes. I guess we'll have to just be content with:
I saw that clip of the Nketiah dialog with Lokonga, mans got elite mindset. Long Live King Marlo, he got his corners back.
Listening to Daniel Harris review of the game apparently Utd fans don’t like Arteta’s tight trousers? lol
Maybe it’s the angle, but it doesn’t look to me like it’s just a rollover and flick with the outside of the foot. It almost looks like he pops it up off his standing foot. Even if it is just a rollover and flick, it’s incredibly quick.
