I think the THFC match is going to be a real turning point in our season, I don't know why, but I truly believe so.

The men from Midlands travel to Highbury and this is going to be a beating!
3-1 to the Arsenal. Henry, Freddie, and Super Bob will score for AFC. Of course, with our weak defense I had to allow for at least 1 goal. I really love having Super Bob come off the bench. His passing, experience, and dead-on accurate touch around the goal is much needed. I loved his goal deep along the backline just slipping underneath Robinson.

Come on Arsenal, Come on!!!! Let's go Gunners!

Haha! I hope your scoreline is wrong but yeah, I'm going with a win for the Gunners. Of course at this point I don't really know what to expect.

Catfish, while I agree about Pires coming off the bench, I think it'd be a better move if he started. I just don't like Reyes on the wing and Bergkamp hasn't really done much lately. I'd rather see Reyes start up top next to Henry and have Bergkamp come off the bench with Pires starting. Of course maybe Van Persie can start a game instead so Pires can come off the bench too. Or what about having Pennant on the bench too? I dunno, I'm confused now.

This could be another high scoring match. Looking forward to it. 4-1 Arsenal, of course we will let at least one in on a set piece.

Kanu will go close, but the danger man will be Gera. I'm going to be bold and predict the first clean sheet in something like 10 games. 3-0 to the Arsenal.

BTW, it looks like the game will not be broadcast in North America.

    3 more games.

As to a WBA/Arsenal score prediction (taking into account Sol is still out):

    Arsenal 9, WBA 6.

Immediatel following the game, Jose Mourinho will ask for the FA to deduct points from Arsenal for "making a mockery of defense".

Arsene Wenger will just chuckle and say "Hey, I'm just a ball coach. This is the only way I know". (A joke for all you Gators/Redskins fans out there)

Sir Alex will let everyone know that he really, REALLY thinks the Carling Cup is the most prestigious competition to win.

Sam Allardyce will badmouth English players again, but it will fly under the radar once more.

David Moyes will try and convince everyone that it was his idea to dump Shrek as he could see how much better Everton would be without him.

Meanwhile, sperzzz will go through 3 managers in the next 2 weeks, and no one will care.

But far from the truth... Wenger was the one who was talking sh!t bout the CL after getting knocked out of CL and FA Cup last year, he even said winning the trebble in 99 was luck... oh well.

Oh yeah... the game? tough to call... I actually think there will be a let down. 1, it almost always happens after a derby match. 2, its WB so its more likely to happen. 3, Kanu is a former Gunner so he might have a helluva game. 4, Arsenal not really playing terrific football lately.

close match 2-1 or 2-2 there will be a late goal in this match... mark it down.

serious prediction: 5-0 to the Arsenal

I think the only way this one would be close would be if it was the "mini-Gunners" vs WBA. Then I could see it being like 1-0, but if Wenger was full sized then it would be 2-0.

Only a Chicago Gunner would have come up with that!! What if they were all mini-Wengers? My prediction for da game... of course, Da Arse will win.

The attack and goal scorring ability has been shown again, but the defense needs to continue to tighten up.

    3-1 Arsenal.

It looks like we've been bumped off the schedule by FSW. But then again, they tend to change things throughout the week...fingers are crossed.

Your comments make it sound as if Wenger chalked up your precious treble totally to luck. You are either exaggerating or lying. Wenger praised the quality of the 1999 United squad and their accomplishment. He merely stated that a bit of luck was involved as well.....just as he's stated that a bit of luck was involved in last year's unbeaten Prem campaign.

Can ANYONE get a copy of the game? Even after the fact. IF we win of course. If we lose, I don't want to see it. I will pay for postage or whatever.

As for the game. It will be a tough game. WBA have a scrappy team. Its still early days under Megson who had a good outing last week and is more attack oriented than Megson. If they attack more, then it will be easier for us on the counter.

I agree, the Baggies played very well against Boro, only losing on the most fantastic miss (by Kanu, now why doesn't that surprise me) I've ever seen. They're left winger, Gera, who, while he plays very out of control, is the kind of player who has given Lauren fits all season long. Their defense is as suspect as ours, though.

I'm with you on this, yossarian. Wenger's comments were that, in Cup competitions there is a ceratin amount of "luck" involved. If Bergkamp doesn't miss his penalty (Wow! A Dutchman missing a penalty. Where have we seen that before? ;) ) then we aren't talking about a Treble.

Wenger's point was that a League win is a truer test of a team's abilities, but that's what makes Cups fun: the chance you'll see a team that has no business being on the pitch with it's opponent getting a result through general anarchy. It's eaxactly the reason that CBS shells out multi-billions for the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

I feel that this is the perfect game for Pennant to start in. I would also like to see more of Van Persie. I think Reyes' form has dropped but he looked livel;y lasted night so hopefully with that in mind he will improve. I still think he is class and do not forget that he is still adapting to the Premiership. If you look at Robben at Chelsea he is playing well, most players do when they break into a side for the first time on a regular basis.Reyes was the same two months ago. Give him time. I think that he will score first on Sat and we will win 2-0. Come on!!!!

This one feels tough to call, to be honest.

Arsenal have all the quality to crush WBA, but we still don't feel in sync of late. The defense has communication problems, Reyes' form is dipping (as is DB10's) and the midfield still feels shaky (though Vieira/Cesc played better against Spurz). Our shining lights at the moment are Freddie (hardest working man on the pitch last weekend) and Titi (and even he's not up to his best).

WBA don't seem organized enough (from what I've seen) to adopt the Crystal Palace approach to good effect, but Gera is a worry. And we all know Kanu can run the spectrum from brilliant to amateur in the blink of an eye.

I'll call it 2-1 to our boys. Still hoping for a Van Persie start - he had a decent impact in the Spurz game, and I'd prefer Bob to Jose at this point.
