Emirates Stadium. 4pm Local time. 3pm GST 1am AEST 2am by the time I stop iso drinking and remember the match is on. And here we are as what has been a total clustertruck of a season comes to an end. Its been up, then down, then further down, then scraping the bottom, before hilariously tucking away wins against Liverpool and Manchester City before dropping points to league powerhouse Aston Villa. And we end the season against Deez Nuts Deeney and the prodigal son Wélé. Win and we go potentially as high as 8th. Lose, and we stay in 10th (worst finish since 94/95.) Time to end this season on a high before we roll on to the FA Cup final! Or at the very least avoid injuries before the final.
We're going to be playing in our new kits for this match and the FA Cup Final. Some notable squad number changes: Saliba takes 4, Elneny to 25 Saka takes 7
Forgot we still have Elneny in our books. Tough match but I think Arteta's men wins with conviction. I hope he side chats Sarr to joining us. Wouldn't mind the dynamic Duacoure too.
I sure would hate to see Eddie Howe and Bournemouth in the Championship next season after all the shit they went through the last 15 years. So let's do them a favor and get out the can of RAID Wasp & Hornet Spray and exterminate Watford for good!!!
Apparently NBC has us on GOLF channel, not that my provider’s guide knows anything about that. I bet NBC didn’t settle the final day lineup until the last minute, understandably.
I just checked the PL table and right now, Bournemouth are 19th (in the "drop zone") and are one goal behind 17th placed Villa (-27 for AFCB v -26 for Villa) and are tied with Watford (-27 each) on goal difference and 3 points back of both Watford and Villa. For the Cherries to stay up, they need help, BOTH Villa and Watford must lose, Bournemouth must win and by a better goal difference than both of them, we can only help in the case of us hosting Watford. Meanwhile Villa play West Ham and Bournemouth play Everton. It's gonna be tough but it seems more like Sunday will be known more this year as "Survival Sunday" for those three. So COYF'n'G and Up The Cherries!!!
Here's the official scoop on the battle to stay up https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/ne...on-villa-watford-bournemouth-need-to-stay-up/ It's simply this: Sunday, July, 26 West Ham vs. Aston Villa, 11 a.m. Arsenal vs. Watford, 11 a.m. Everton vs. Bournemouth, 11 a.m. Scenarios Aston Villa (at West Ham): Earn a better result than Watford or a draw combined with a Watford draw Watford (at Arsenal): Earn a better result than Aston Villa Bournemouth (at Everton): Win combined with losses by both Aston Villa and Watford
I expect a heavily rotated squad from Arteta. Any player with expectations of playing in the cup final will have that in the back of their minds. What if they get a red card or pick up an injury? Do they go in to the 50/50 challenges? Do they put in the hard sprint? Or do they hold back and play it safe? Arteta can play kids and tell them if they want to feature in the final, they need to impress him against Watford first. Willock, Eddie, AMN, Torreira, Nelson (if he is healthy) should play. Sokratis could play, especially with Mustafi out.
This is what I would expect but I think Arteta has already said he is playing a strong team tonight. Hopefully we rest our better players for the CF, as said losing Auba or Holding to an injury or a red would be disastrous.
🚨 Five changes from midweek...➡️ Maitland-Niles, Tierney, Xhaka, Willock, Pepe⬅️ Cedric, Kolasinac, Torreira, Saka, Nketiah#ARSWAT— Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 26, 2020 Looks like a 4-3-3 with Willock and Ceballos as dual 8s?
After last match I'm liking the changes. I want the boys to win this one and regain momentum heading into the Cup final. Hopefully it will be about 3-0. Up the Gunners!
Ceballos gets hurt. Luiz gets a red card. Arsenal plays like it is a match that doesn't matter while Watford fight for their lives. 2-0 Hornets. Hope I am wrong!
I agree. 4-3-3 probably.. Even though Google shows it as 3 at back w/ AMN & Willock as wing backs. Doubtful?
