ENGLAND - December 16 - 5:00pm: vs Southampton (Premier League) - Whatever local network England has for football atm.
    USA - December 16 - 1:00pm: vs Southampton (Premier League) - NBCSN
    CANADA - December 16 - 1:00pm: vs Southampton (Premier League) - DAZN
    AUSTRALIA - December 17 - 5:00am: vs Southampton (Premier League) - OptusSports

Holy crap how have we rotated back to me for match day threads? We must be reallllllly bad at the mome... Oh, we are really bad at the moment.

Welp, we welcome 4th place powerhouse Southampton to our house for what is the first in a long winning streak for us.
Time for some positivity. This week is the week we turn it around. No time like the present. We need a win, and we need goals from open play and I predict we get both this week when we win 3-1.

If not, I guess we are all this guy until the next Europa League match.

mcnicholas was writing about things arsenal could change for this game and threw in this nugget:

London goes to tier 3 Weds. So no fans for this match I guess. Perhaps that could be a little bit of a lucky break for Mikel Arteta? ;)

I wouldn't hate the idea of AMN in midfield and Cedric at RB.

    Why Willian and not Pepe?

Mikel won't do it, but this is what I'd go with.

    ----------------Auba-----------------
    Pepe-----------------------Saka
    ----------------ESR------------------
    --------Elneny----AMN--------------
    Tierney---------------------Cedric
    ------------Gabriel-Holding--------

I really liked Pepe from the left in the Europa league and Saka looked good from the right recently.

Is AMN starting matches? If not, why not? We didn't sell him so play him. He did OK against chelsea in the fnal.

On paper this is a very tough match for us. I can't see us winning it, but you just never know. Come on Arsenal, time to turn our fortunes around.

On paper?? Based on current form they should, and probably will, beat us handily.

Hassenhutl has got them purring. Including Theo, who's probably got just a little bit of extra motivation to put the dagger in.

With all that's happened in and around Arsenal in the last month or so, I've got the lowest expectations for a match as I've had all season.

    Reverse-jinx-effect anyone?

p.s. At least we can look forward to some boisterous (fake) crowd noise. :p

On paper is current form. Stop being aggressive.

Sorry, no intent to be aggressive. I took "on paper" to mean like "technically"... as if you were qualifying your vote for Soton being favorites.

But in re-reading your post I can see now that you too think we'll lose. However I don't quite share your optimism for us beating those odds.

But once the match starts and if we're even or just one goal down, then I'll surely come around to your way of thinking.

The handling of Maitland-Niles is mad.

that's why, if i am balogun's camp, i'm not sure i would sign. okay, you suddenly played maitland-niles enough that he stopped being upset and agitating to leave then immediately exiled him.

If I'm in Balogun's camp I want to go to Germany. Maybe he's the next Jadon Sancho.

Interesting. Too late to edit now but when I do these I take them off the Arsenal Website page "where to watch in the USA and Canada."

I think it was a late change/correction. I got an email today from Peacock with a correction that Arsenal would be on NBCSN (yay) instead.

    Correct. NBCSN.
Pretty sure I saw us listed as NBCSN right after we played last Sunday, and I think I made a comment in the last MD thread that we are now road-kill-drama that makes us more likely to be on NBCSN. :p
