I would have prefered Clichy to Hoyte, but Arsene knows.

I really hope the Wenger brings in Freddie and RvP by the 70th minute if were not on top. I dont like the subs with 5 min to go at all...

    Great investagotory work there, chum[p].

    1. Azar Karadas haven't been a defender for 3 years.
    2. Azar Karadas signed for Benfica earlier this summer.
    3. Azar Karadas is a forward in Benfica and has scored 4 goals in 8 games.

Think I'll check if I can steal Ben's job, cos I sure as heck can do it better than him :p

    That is so sad.

You would think UEFA could afford to hire a fact checker, for God's sake!

Eh - you never know. I graduated with a B.S. in econ and history and I do legal work with securities and structured finance.

There was recently a discussion regarding some minute points of Roman history in northern Mesopotamia on the Politics Board that was deemed too hot for BigSoccer by a mod. No, seriously.
If you want to learn about Roman eastern frontier policy in the Imperial period, just search through my posts. :p

Im satisfied, and I think this will be good practice for the Chelsea game.

Maybe we should of sold Vieira, we seem to play better without him. ;)

Rosenborg? Some perspective please. Don't get too excited until we see how you perform for a few matches. Every team can have exceptional results and then do nothing. The Roma and Inter games spring to mind. I'm not having a dig, just saying keep that in mind. Good result. Have fun celebrating tonight.

OK what gives. That keeper seems somewhat competent. Not saying he should take the number 1 spot just yet, but hes a damn sight better than the keeper I saw play against Everton. That said hes got a proper defensive line infront of him now. Wonder who will be between the sticks for the Chelsea game.

Great result thought. Bring on Chelsea :)

He has made mistakes in the last three games. It is a tough decision to choose between them. Since we all know that Jens would probably do exactly the same, Wenger might stick with Almunia. Then again, he could go for the more experienced keeper.

What a great game. The first half we were fantastic, the passes flowed, the flicks came off and the goals were great. What a day for Cesc to get his first. He and Flamini were supurb. It doesn't matter who it was against, we would of beaten anyone tonight. Absolutly fantastic. Bring on the Russskies, we'll trash em!!

What did you think of Almunia? Personally, I am worried about the GK position for Sunday, Almunia was crap.

Agree, Ive said it before so didn't comment this time, but yes - Almunia is a disaster waiting to happen. He does not give me nor the defense confidence.

I'd just like to say again, its AMAZING how quickly fans turn from abject despair to the heights of giddyness. FOUR days ago this board was fully of doom, gloom, and any other synonyms you can think of. Now, after two wins (against Rosenborg at home and Brum, of all sides), its as if you've never lost a game.
    I love football.

What did you guys think of Braaten who played for RBK?
Personally, I found him as one acceptable "good" thing for RBK.. Anyone who took notice of him? The guy with the big hair?

Jens doesn't make blunders; he's simply not good enough at times. That's his problem. None of the goals he "gifted" to Chelsea were tap ins for us. He couldn't hold a swerving Makelele shot, and Eidur beat him from a very tight angle, but its not as if Lehman dropped a free kick at a striker's feet. For all the complaints about Lehman, he's actually quite solid technically. Just not excellent, and not great on crosses.

Yeah, probably your best player out there - he looked quite quick.
I thought your left back was your best player tonight, and he was out in Trondheim as well.
