Newcastle have been terrified of Odegaard and have built their entire gameplan around stopping him.

Might be worth flipping Xhaka and Odegaard?

Yeah, or maybe bringing on Vieira for Xhaka, who isn't offering too much today. Idk though I think we will figure this out

*Looks at bench* Damn you're right. Unless we bring on Vieira and change the shape

58' and the latest booking goes to Joelinton. Six total cards so far.

Edit: Make that 7! Almiron gets a yellow for dissent or whatever.

Based on the standards of fouls and bookings today, that shoulda been a penalty awarded to us on the shirt pull by Burn on Gabriel.

(and for me, forget about the standards of today, that's a PK 10 out of 10 in my book)

And yet... VAR didn't even review it????

Saka continues to look really sharp and dangerous. Earns us a corner...

Hmm... Almiron comes off with Wilson. Wood & Murphy replace. Almiron has produced so many moments of brilliance this season, I'm fine to see him out of the game. :)

Pretty vocal at times, especially recently when we were passing the ball quite well. But it's a pretty ugly game overall so that's put a damper on them for sure.

Think the movement in Arteta ball can be fairly static and predictable. Can't remember the last time I've seen players just looking for someone to pass to and not finding it.

What a flick by Xhaka. Superb. Martinelli should do more with that
