I'd be happy with him over anybody but Gabriel.

Stones barges Aubu off the ball and it's acceptable according to the commentator. ???

I didn't expect this match to be Aston Villa Redux. Early goal followed by 85+ minutes of nothing.

He looked OK. Definitely some "cobwebs" but we've seen much worse. I suspect he'll be back in a week or so.

Arsenal's record would illustrate your point. That's what we get for relying heavily on Luiz.

Tbh, city should’ve been up by 2-3 goals by now. They’re just playing in 2nd gear the whole game

Bellerin the most booked player in the PL.

All of a sudden we're going for it. Trying hard to equalize.

That leads to us being exposed and giving up a counter which was a little scary.

    +4 of added time.

Luiz playing AM at the moment. And he shoulder checks Diaz to the ground... seriously painful. We're showing some fight at the end. But it's a little to little, a little too late.

That was stupid by Luiz, we were on the attack and he just took the pressure off.

    FT 0-1 to Citeh.

Very strange that we held them to just one goal... a goal scored at 2'

But I guess we should take it. We didn't get embarrassed. Absolutely no one expected us to get anything from this match.

    Onward.

    Grr.

On the bright side if I was offered 0-1 at the outset I likely would've taken that result. Hopefully the lads feel they can compete better, and hope Holding is oka.y

How many times has Arsenal been beaten by one early goal this year? Feels like it should be an inordinately high figure.

I count 8 of the 11 losses in the league were by 1 goal. Multiple goal defeats were to sp*rs, Villa and Liverpool.

Meanwhile 4 of 10 wins have been by a single goal.

Yeah, this is WAY WAY better than the 9-0 drubbings that Soton has had to deal with.

To be fair we have one of the best defenses in the league. Top 5 I think.

Tim Howard just slagged off on David Luiz for being so happily chummy with his mates at Citeh after FT. I totally agree... it bugged the shit out of me when I saw him doing that.

The sooner we part with Luiz the better in my book. Ever since he was signed, it's never felt right to me. He's not the serious team member I want in my squad. He's too big a liability. Regardless of how beloved he might be in the dressing room.

Honestly he lost me when he was at Chelsea rolling around by the corner flag and then winking to the camera.

    Please. Don't. Renew. Him.
