I was stunned that not even a yellow was shown for Leicester in the first half. Perez should've gotten booked for a takedown of Ceballos when he was clearly just swiping in frustration at not getting a call himself, and the Evans incident you mentioned was one, and the most egregious, of at least three times he went into the back of Lacazette with no chance of winning the ball.

And now I've watched replays more closely, I'm convinced that Vardy was definitely having a swipe at Mustafi.

Wrapping up listing to today's Arsecast, and the main gripe that they highlight is we seem to get carded for professional/cynical/tactical fouling more than our opponents. We are dead last in the league for "Fair Play".

It is surprising and frustrating that LCFC didn't see any cards in this match based on the same standard that our players were carded.

When Auba got his straight red earlier in the season, we agreed it was justified. But most pundits acknowledged and pointed at similar or worse fails that went completely unpunished within weeks of that red card.

    The inconsistency has to end.

It never will because prem refs are all arrogant middle aged men

we need a more diverse, fitter and younger crop

imo we need a proper academy for refs and to make it much higher pay so it is a proper athletic profession and they will come under actual scrutiny

Why does it have to? This goes back to the years when we were good and Utd would be allowed to boot us off the park

Also far more refs. You should not get a ref more than 2x per season

i thought there was talk during shutdown that mustafi has spoken openly about moving on during [strikethrough]summer[/strikethrough] the offseason. this is it, i believe (not sure how credible they are, though, they appear to be referencing bild). i think he is definitely ahead of sokratis - although i think he is injured? - because i think arteta prefers CBs who are comfortable on the ball. i can see your point about him being selected over holding, though.
