Ok..gulp...let's not have a repeat of last season....pleeeease! The fact that Leeds Utd is fighting for their Premiership lives scares the heck out of me, but I'm a believer. So bring on those gimpy Yorkshire Whites. Arsenal should come out firing on all cylinders and just bury Leeds early.

I'm predicting a 3-1 win to The Royal Arsenal. TH14, RP7, and Freddie all bag goals for the good guys.

I will be driving mach to get home from teaching to see this match.

I think that this will be a tight match because Leeds are on their last leg. With that said, I think we will stay unbeaten by a score of 2-1. Pires in the 37th, Smith in th 64th, and then TH14 with the winner in the 87th. Does anyone know where this match is being televised?

Leeds are fighting for their lives and they are playing rather well right now. I would not be surprised if this match ended in a draw. Sorry for being a glass half empty kind of guy.

Well, I can't really see Leeds making themselves vulnerable to our counter-attack, so more than likely, it'll be more of the same, trying to break down 11 men in the box....

Piss off you troll. If you want Leeds to stay up, go to their boards.

The big danger is AW being tempted to field a weak team. I will worry if we're 1-0 up with 15 minutes to go, having missed a couple of good chances to kill it and having pushed the ball around like a training ground exercise for 75 minutes. That's when we get over comfortable and could succomb to a couple of sucker punches courtesy of Smth and Viduka, provided by an embittered Pennant and the very talented Milner?

The other worry is injuries. Leeds will be fighting for their lives and Smith won't think twice about breaking a leg or two!

    Three more you Gunners!!!

Is this the same Leeds that we've already beaten 4-1? twice? Leeds have been "fighting for their lives" all season but their defence is like a sponge and we should get a few against them.

the good thing about AW is he usually starts with a strong team. and all the key players in the team are fit with only 1 exeption.

I should be at this match and was wondering if i would be able to bring items inside Highbury such as umbrella and camera? It is my first time at Highbury from the states and would be grateful for any pointers.

You should have no problem bringing a camera in. I'm not sure about an umbrella. Make sure to visit the Gunners Pub and Arsenal Fish Shop before the match!

The answer to whether you can bring a camera in is yes, BUT. Use it carefully, officially you are not allowed to take pics inside the ground whilst the match is going on. But, as long as you don't have a huge proffesional camera and are a little discreet you won't have any problems. Most of the stewards will say 'don't let me see you taking photo's'. Unbrella, no problem, but don't expect to be able to use it for obvious reasons. And what are you saying!!!! It hasn't rained in London for at least 20 hours................. Depending on where you are sitting you will be under cover anyway. Go to the Arsenal Tavern, nice pub, nice people and easy to get a pint.

I think we can win this one, well we should, but Leeds has been playing quite well lately. I'm thinking either 1-0 or 2-1 to the Arsenal.

I will defer to Rick for obvious reasons, but I did bring a camera into the match I attended back in the fall (Newcastle). No one gave me any stick but as Rick mentioned...it was not one of those photo-journalist type cameras...just a point and click.
I will also second the suggestion that you go to the Gunners Pub for a pint or two. Fun place. :D

    Someone asked earlier about TV.

It's being shown live in U.S. and Canada on Fox Sports World, 3 p.m. EDT.

Looks like a good day to leave early!

As far as the score goes, at BEST Leeds will earn a point. The Gunners only have two things to play for now: Premiership title and entire EPL season unbeaten. There's no way Leeds come into Highbury and get a win this time. I agree that they play tough and pack the box, but they still lose 2-1.

As another Texan Arsenal supporter who witnessed his first "proper" footballing experience in January at Highbury (4-1 over Boro), I wouldn't get too stoked about taking too many pictures while inside the stadium. Granted I took my piece of ass & shite camera with me, but not a single photo turned out to my liking, except the one taken of me and my lady right by the pitch at halftime. (Big thanks to Jeff Lancaster for that one!) I'd just get there early, take a couple of shots of the warmups, get a nice shot by the pitch at half, and maybe one or two after the match. Basically, don't waste your time, film, and hopes getting "that 442 Moment" while the game is in action from the stands. Of course, I'm just a wanker from Austin, Tejas and FAR from Gordon Parks.

And for umbrellas, don't bother. While the weather in London is notoriously gloomy, wet, and depressing, I thought all of the rain I experienced while across the pond was a refresing mist in comparison to many of the booming Texas thunderstorms I'm sure you've experienced. Wear a hat and a jacket, that's all you'll need.

I'd check out the T Bird Bar before the match if the aforementioned options fall through. It is on Blackstock Road, if my memory serves me right.

Oh yeah, 3-1 to the Gunners. Reyes, Henry, and Viera on the scoresheet.

    C'mon you Gunners!!!

I know you guys have done us a favor by having two of your better players miss the match. However could you sit Henry as well? That would be grrrrreat. I'm excited because Leeds is desperate and Arsenal have to lose a game sooner or later. :D

If Leeds is THAT desperate, how come they can only manage a draw w/ Everton at Elland Road?!

If the Gunners lose this season, it won't be to Leeds!

Yeah, I suppose I did. Yes, it rains something like 60% of the time in London, but, as far as I know, it truly doesn't STORM like it does in the Gulf of Mexico region in the States. Say what you will about assumptions of Limey weather, but the average rainfall (in inches) in London for April is usually around 2.1 inches. For Austin? I've found records indicating the average April rainfall ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 inches.

Granted I've only been to London a (small) handfull of times, but I still think the stats speak for themselves. It ain't THAT rainy in London.

do what? well, it took me about a half day to realize that i wasnt going to work w/out an umbrella.. i think i was totally drenched in about 10 seconds... maybe you hit the "off" season... lol

oh and BTW, leeds united don't have a chance to get points in this game...
4-1 results both times right? prolly more like a 2-0 or 1-0 scoreline for this match.. Will be going down to london and will be at Tbirds before the game..

    Don't use 'em!!!

It's not that hard to get face-price tickets from people if you're a real fan and not going to sell them off to someone else to make money.

    Paging Jeff Lancaster. . .
