Referees is Uriah Rennie with Sheffield and S. Yorks the touch line judges.


Fulham and WBA is postponed due to waterlogged pitch.

Man U is down 1-0 after Veron made an own goal and Barthez is pulled after the 29th minute due to a groin injury.

Arsenal kicked off on the soggy Highbury Pitch.

Arsenal got into Chelsea territory and then it went out. Chelsea had it and they kicked it out.

Been back and forth the first 7 minutes. Arsenal was building in the Chelsea Zone, but they cleared it. Arsenal has most of the chances so far,

Arsenal looks more determined as they are going all over the place to get the ball.

Arsenal playing good defense so far in the 17th minute.

 

Seaman has hardly had to work at all. Just pick up a ball and either throw it or kick it.

Cole has been great trying to set up plays. This last one in the 20th minute was with Pires.

 

Corner to Chelsea and it is cleared.

 

Chelsea had a small attack, shot, Seamna saved, bounced off his hands, but he collected. Henry with a chip shot just barely wide. Goal kick turning into a free kick for Chelsea. Campbell and JFB both slide into each other trying to get the ball. Foul on Campbell, free kick, shot, Seamn handles it. Cole had another nice run.

 

Foul by Viera as Zola goes down outside the box. Wall is set up. Kick is cleared.

 

Arsenal is makking Chelsea work. Wiltord had a shot, but it was blocked. Corner to Arsenal. Cleared, Chelsea attacks, defense holds. Another foul by Arsenal. Wall is up, Seamman saved the shot with ease. Arsenal setting up to attack again.

 

Henry had a chance, but couldn't control it. Wiltord just had a shot, but saved by the Chelsea keeper.

34th minute

 

The slide tackles are becoming reckless. Might have to do with the pitch. Corner to Chelsea. Seaman tips it away, is cleared, given away, and the shot was wide by a mile.

 

Man U still down 1-0. They started 1400 and it is 1540.

Arsenal had another chance, but the chelsea defender stopped a shot from happening. A Chelsea player goes down in the box, but it appears he went in recklessly. Has a bit of blood so the trainers are out cleaning him up. No pentaly award. Seaman takes it out.

Arsenal with a throw in deep in Chelsea's zone. Move it out to set up more options. 42nd minute. Another shot just wide by Wiltord.
