Merry Christmas from Australia! Saw there was no matchday thread, and before I go and eat my way to a 5xl Arsenal away kit I thought I would kick this off.

After a bright start to the 2020/2021 season things haven't gone as planned, but alas we soldier on. The January window looms and I asked Santa for some new signings in my stocking.
Now I have M'Vila, Ribery and Akinfeev crashing at my place. Not what I was thinking but it is what it is.

Team news, Martinelli might be ok to play, Auba might be back, and Xhaka has served his 3 match suspension and is available.

Hopefully we play the kids. We only looked good V City while we had either Martinelli or ESR on the field.

Lets give ESR, Martinelli, Balogun and Saka starts. We are expecting a loss anyway, lets see what happens when we have some kids with talent and enthusiam on the pitch.

I am predicting a 2-1 win to Arsenal, Martinelli and Gabriel to score with a Holding OG.

COME ON ARSENAL (and Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it.)

Is it too late to appeal Xhaka's ban and ask for a longer one?

I heard his punishment was a contract extension. That way everyone loses.

    That was FUNNY!

And thanks to @And_ROOS for stepping up at 11th hour. Who’s ready for the next one? :p

Edit: Actually it’s not quite 11th hour. Apparently I thought we were playing tomorrow??!

without a doubt. might want to add a pillow/blanket fort just to be safe.

werner is exactly the type of sumbitch we cannot handle and he is on the right side where we cannot defend. and former players fucks us up something fiece.

Arteta raving on about a new start and targeting the next 3 games

Assuming no win against Chelsea he then really must win the next two games against the cannon fodder away.

Failure to do so will seem him likely sacked IMO

    Martinelli, Lacazette

Sorry about positioning, I am hearing this over the phone and typing. But I think the personell is correct

Gabriel - COVID close contact, now isolating and will miss the next three matches.

David Luiz and Willian - both are unwell but have both recently tested negative.

Chance for Marinelli in the first minute but doesn't make good enough contact.

And here I thought Mikel might've been reading our board. :) I.e. Martinelli & Smith-Rowe in there instead of Willian & Pepe.

But upon seeing Mari starting and no Luiz & Gabriel on the bench I knew something else was going on. :(

Lee Dixon is finally back as co-com. Brace yourself for some very harsh (but fair) words if things don't go well for us today.

Pulisic runs at Xhaka and picks up a fk just outside the 18... Mount puts it JUST wide... tough chance
