Annoyed about the finishing position, but that's a 5-point, 8 GD improvement over last season.

My prediction from after the first Slavia leg is still on though. Hopefully my forecast of Arteta completely losing the team early next season is mistaken.

As for Arsenal, good for them for finishing strong. Now can they make use of the lighter schedule next season to focus exclusively on the league.

If anyone offers you Red Cat, say no. Local wine there, and it's at least the worst in America, maybe the world.

Oooof, I dunno. Looked like he purposefully hooked his arm and then threw his legs into him --- which is pretty much par for Vardy.

It was so obviously not a penalty that I switched away after the first VAR replay. I was really surprised when the score ticked to 2-1.

Same story in reverse for the Kane handball on the 3-2. No idea how either of those decisions went the way they did.

But how much of that is essentially acceptable play? Looked to me like he didn't hook Sanchez as much as he simply got his arm in front of Sanchez's arm, then did the conventional movement of feet to get "ahead" of the defender. I wouldn't have whined if it wasn't called, and more importantly for me it might have been outside the box, but there was contact and Sanchez wasn't playing the ball.

In the end it doesn't matter, since the Foxes just crapped their pants after that.

There is a ton of bad wine there (as there is everywhere), but there is also some of the best Riesling, Chardonnay and Cab Franc in the States. There’s also a smaller amount of very high quality Pinot Noir there.

But drinking anything that comes in a cat-shaped bottle should definitely be avoided.

Yeah, Finger Lakes wine is underrated. My whole extended family ********ing loves Red Cat though, despite it being Upstate's version of Malort, so I figured it needed a special warning.

By the end of last season I put my faith in Artetas pragmatic approach and cup victory as a springboard for future success. It resulted in a mixed bag.

Today I'm putting my faith in our post-christmas form as a springboard. The "re-discovery" of the 4-2-3-1 for Arteta bodes well.

I don’t think it’s the formation so much as the personnel. Actually playing creators behind the striker is what led to the modest improvement in chance creation and significant improvement in results.

Still, I’m with you. I think there’s a good chance this team is pretty decent over a season as currently constructed, and an outside chance of being legitimately good.

With some actual serious work with a real plan done on recruitment and no European distractions next season, who knows? Top 4 might be a realistic goal.

But I have my doubts that last part is possible with these people…

Thanks for the advice guys. And happy to steer this thread (and our season) to more pressing things. :perLly

We’re only here 3-4 days. But will visit a few wineries I suspect. I’m sitting on the deck of our rental and across the lake I can literally see: Heron Hill, Bully Hill & Dr. Frank (which we were told to visit & buy) Comments?

Yes to Dr. Konstantin Frank, skip the other two. Forge Cellars makes amazing wines and Boundary Breaks is a good tourist experience with some really good wines and some so-so wines. Both of those are on Seneca Lake.

Frank didn’t disappoint. We tasted 13 diff wines between 3 of us and I liked em all. Which is unusual.
