(probably a more important match to watch TBF) But the other edge of that sword is that if we end up climbing to 7th, then we’re rewarded with qualification matches for the dreaded new Europa Conference League and all of its potential downsides. So to avoid that fate, we also need Everton to beat City, so they’d take 7th and we’d finish 8th... possible... but likely? Oh and sorry Mikel but West Ham’s win yesterday destroyed your hope of reattaining Europa via 6th. Oh how the mighty have fallen, but that’s the subject of other threads me thinks. Except that I wouldn’t be too surprised if the fans coming back for this match are gonna voice their disapproval against the owner, manager or the relative anemia of our play. As for personnel to use, other than the desire to beat out Spurs, this one seems to argue for playing some of our languishing youth. But Arteta’s been stingy with minutes in that regard so I don’t really expect much. Sadly I may have to miss this one live due to travel plans. Of course it’s very rare I miss a match, but I literally can’t remember not watching the final day live in 10 years maybe more.
