Just saw the last 20 minutes. Saka to Auba for the winner was really well done. Some days, VAR could screw us on that goal, but not today!
Saka is such a good player. Such a maturity and intelligence for his age. Game changer.— Cesc Fàbregas Soler (@cesc4official) February 25, 2021 Saka is a superstar in the making.
Dynamos Kyiv and Zagreb, Slavia Prague, Man Utd, Olympiacos, Young Boys, Roma and Milan round out the 16. Leicester knocked out by Slavia Prague. Not sure I'm all that confident against any of these opponents, but some of these draws would be more favorable than others.
I just zipped through the match again and had a few other thoughts: Although it wasn’t really great game, it had really great goals. Only one of which was built off of a defensive blunder. (Thank you Dani) Thank God that PEA had his shooting boots on today, and thank God that the Imodium or whatever it was he was doing at HT allowed him to play the full 90 Auba & Saka have a strong shout for MOTM. But I might just be inclined to give it to Tierney. So much of our offense ran through him today, and when the chips were really really down and many of us were not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel, he took matters into his own hand and changed the course of the tie.
Moving right along... new thread's up! https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/leicester-v-arsenal-epl-28-feb-2021.2113977/
https://streamable.com/c2h6di Tierney yelling "you're a f***ing diving c**t, man" is the type of energy I need more in life.
Olympiacos is the draw. Revenge for last season and the return of Sokratis. Hopefully Arsenal's home leg won't be in Greece again.
There's video of him getting into a little spat with Luiz in training before the second leg. The boy has the eye of the tiger.
