NBC showed a graphic pregame, that showed that Kai has had 3rd most goal involvements in the EPL since he moved to CF back in February.

So Mikel waited a bit into 2T but finally he made the adjustments. Phew.

Back at 61': Merino, Trossard, Martinelli came in for Jorginho, Jesus & Sterling.

    LET'S GO!!!

    MARTINELLI!!!!! 2-1

Edit: TIGHT offside call though. This could be a long review because the defender's leg is obscured

I remember when we bought him there were people asking why, and yet so far this season we are seeing that if our back 4 stay healthy then a back 4 of Cali, Gabi, Saliba and Timber is both insanely physical, very aggressive and technically adept.

Sterling and Jesus are so trash.

Relegate them to the U23s and call up that 14 year old kid who has been killing it in the U18s.

Problem is against a team like Soton who would always sit deep you need Martinellis pace, and if you are going to give Havertz a breather from CF and give Jesus minutes then you absolutely cannot play Havertz in midfield.

We should have started with Jesus up top, Martinelli wide and Trossard or Merino in MF.

Marti's finish was so killer. He's got that in him. Just needs to build his confidence, now that the goals are starting to flow again.
