    When: Tuesday, 20 Sept. 2011, 19:45 BST, 14:45 EST.
    Where: The Emirates
TV: None that I'm aware of. Arsenal Player replay just after the match.

My first matchday thread. Been holding out for when the Gunners need me, and I'd say we have to get a good result from this one.

It will be interesting to see what squad AW puts out. I'm guessing Park will get his debut and probably Ox will start as well.

id rather little to no emphasis be placed on this cup. give the new boys a run out. would love to see benik/ozyakup/aneke get some time. the ox+park seems a good chance as well.

santos to continue getting match fit

as long as we arent risking first team players too much im happy

    Arsenal v. Shrewsbury. Carling Cup, 9/20/11 (R)

99% sure I have strep throat, so I ain't going anywhere today. Thought I'd get this party started:

    Arsenal v. Shrewsbury Town
    Tuesday, September 20th, 2011
    Emirates Stadium

Don't know who's gonna play - don't really care. Need some catharsis, and some forward momentimum. All I know about STFC, is that is where Joe Hart came from. So, there's that.

    Get some, boys!

    Up the Arsenal!

    I'd like to see...

    ---------------Coquelin-------------
    -------Benayoun-----Ozyakup------
    ---ASQOC---------------------Miyaichi

I'd rather have a CM in place of Benayoun, but I can't think of anyone we could use since Lansbury is out on loan.

Not too bad...I can get on board. I think we'll see Frimpong and maybe Chamakh in some role though.

Frimpong will definitely be involved. Djourou should be as well since Squid is still out with a mysterious calf injury. Chamack will lead the line.

There can be some bad complications from strep. I would head to a doctor if you're that sure.

Well I can only hope Wenger is no longer the manager for this one.

Anyone know a place to download/stream after they happen? Perhaps if there is a link could we put it in the first post of this thread? to avoid spoilers.

Almost. We have to integrate a bunch of senior players, not just young prospects. Therefore we should play more or less the best team we have, except for resting some guys who've played more or less every match (RVP, Larry, Bac). We need to win this game, and get some more understanding of what our guys are capable of.

yeah, getting game time for our new first team players to learn how to play together may be the way to go. add in some out of form players and maybe a kid or 2.
personally i'd make sure we played chamakh, benayoun, chamberlain, miyaichi, santos, jenkinson, mertesacker, djourou and fabianski (is he fit?).
