Arsenal heads back to the Emirates after their week abroad in Liverpool to host the Blades of Sheffield United. It's been a rough start to the season for last year's promotion darlings - 0 goals scored in their first three league matches, all losses - as they sit in 19th in the Premier League. League Cup results haven't been better; they went out at the first time of asking, losing a penalty shootout to Burnley. The match referee is Lee Mason. Kickoff is at 9 AM Eastern, streaming on Peacock.
I think this is going to be more of a test than some (of you) pundits think. I think Wilder will have them angry and fired up to finally get their first point(s) of the season. So... we need to... SHUT THEM DOWN EARLY, like 2-0 in the first 15-20 mins would be nice. Then keep going for it after that!!! Please????
If you don't wanna pony up for Peacock, I bet there's a few pirate streams to find. (not speaking from recent experience however) Or maybe your like a growing bunch of people (or at least growingly vocal) around here, who are watching less EPL as NBCSN carries less and less of it.
Dunno. But I hope he gets back into our XI soon. But it’s not likely tomorrow since he went 90 two days ago.
3-nil. Sheffield United will/is in a real tailspin and this one should not be any different, Miki will have our boys ready for this one. I'll be up and ready at 6:00 am here on the left coast, with Peacock on my Roku enjoying what should be just a mere formality for the ONLY Red & White that actually belongs in this league. COYF'n'G!!!
A must win match in a way, we can't afford to lose to teams like this if we are going to get top 6 even.
yup - I'll follow the Arseblog and have Austrian Bundesliga on the tv while I drink my coffee and grade my papers.
Is Elneny now ahead of Xhaka in the pecking order? Or is Xhaka nursing an injury? Back in December when it looked like Xhaka was on his way out, I suggested that they might recall Elneny from his loan to provide squad depth in MF. Someone replied by laughing, didn't realize the club still owned Elneny. And now here we are, what a sorry situation in the midfield.
5' and SHU gets a corner. Blades pressure this spell the result of poor passing between Gabriel and Luiz.
When I started the stream just before KO the graphic seemed to show Runarsson in goal, and I went wow! But now I see Leno so all sense is restored. Slightly surprised to see Dani start given he had a reported thigh/groin strain. But as long as he's fit and we're not risking him too much, I'm fine with him in the XI. Happy to see Saka, especially since he went full 90 less than 3 days ago. Is he playing LWB in another 3-4-3?
What was that VAR check they supposedly did a few mins ago when the guy was charging down on Leno? I completely missed that and on replay I had no idea what they were talking about. Edit: Oh I see. There was a hint of Luiz fouling as the last man back. It woulda been harsh.
