    there are two culprits behind ronaldo. one is his self destruction and the second is the fans bombarding him with curses and non stop abuse(which also didnt help). anyone talking about any "ronaldo defense league" has to get their heads checked. the severity of the bad mouthing totally outweighs the defending in my opinion, go through the threads and you would find the ratio for abuse:defending is about 20:1. but none of the people who feel ronaldo should be given a fair chance complain about poeple being in the "ronaldo hater league"!! these very immature and totally sad people are creating civil war between madridistas. please stop talking about ronaldo all the time as he isnt going to get better with abuse as people should have realised now when he is showing his current form.
    thank you and yours sincerely

    becks was garbage. There was 100 percent effort, but nothing of worth. Ronaldo, was no effort and nothing of worth. Its sad that Raul created as many chances over 2 legs in much less minutes than Ronaldo. What's even sadder....is that Real Madrid could not score a single goal against an Arsenal back four that had none of its best players except Toure. GUYS WE PLAYED AGAINST A F**CKIN MAKESHIFT back 4 and couldn't score! That just blows my mind. Imagine if Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole were here.....

    Congrats to Arsenal they deserved it and have some great players for the future.

    ps. Was I tripping or was there a poster who supported ManU and Arsenal??>? WTF...I thought I had issues with Man u and Madrid, but damn..

    if you mean why I was yelling about CIcinho and RObinho, I mean their absence from the game. My bad. IN regards to Zidane....he was as bad as every one else.

    i woke up at 3am for this? sigh.. it was close in the end, but starting with Raul and Ronaldo at the same time seemed like a mistake to me. not that i'm a certified coach, but i wish we'd thrown in either Cassano or Robinho from the offing.

    not that it matters now, but at least i can say we werent played off the pitch, though we lost in the end.

    I still dont understand why Raul got the start above a fit and INFORM Robinho? Is it just because he's Raul (a "galactico")? Didnt a man resign because of that? Hasn't Caro learned anything over the past week?
    I really think that if Robinho started he could have made a huge diffrence in the game.

    How can you sit there and question Raul starting and ignore Ronnie starting. I wouldn't have started either but on tonights performance you can forgive Raul you can't forgive Ronaldo.

    In order for Real Madrid to be consistently good next season, the following needs to happen:

    Sell:
    Ronaldo
    Roberto Carlos
    Baptista
    Beckham

    Retiring:
    Zidane

    Buy:
    Replacements such as Adriano, Fabregas, Reyes, Ballack and Ashley Cole etc.

    Also, we need a experienced coach that is fresh to the team that can bring motivation and attitude to the players and organization. There has been way too many changes to the club and I think that has hurt the management aspect. We need a coach that can settle the club down.

    As many other successful teams have showed that balance is required and that's what's missing from Real Madrid. Hopefully, next season will be better.

    It's funny to see some go after Raul, as if the people rightfully criticising Ronaldo's shítness are at the same time claiming Raul played great, when the sad part is that Raul didn't play great....and even then he played better than Ronaldo.

    Im not ignoring Ronaldo startting but everyone has been bashing him and him alone, so Im pointing out the other big mistakes about todays line up. There was absolutley no reason for Raul to start today! He hadn't started in a while and the team was doing pretty good without him. Caro wanted to have a more offensive team with 2 strikers? PLAY CASSANO!!

    Like I said, I wouldn't have started either and as you say Raul didn't play great (though he nearly won us the game ;) )...but Ronaldo was awful, I just can't understand people defending him. I'm not saying he was the only bad player as Becks sucked as well, but jeez...no effort, no movement, no workrate, no finishing, no holding of the ball, wrong option every time...and yet I guess its the fans' fault. :rolleyes:

    Why not? Now Perez has gone it's on the cards. His record in charge was phenomenal and the team was playing great

    Ronaldo has more or less said he does not want to be at RM, and the way he trots round the pitch it is pretty clear he wants away. Do such a great club as Real Mdrid really have to play someone who clearly does not want to play for them?

    I think there are going to be huge changes in the summer, I can see almost this entire team going with one or two exceptions.

    He had great players playing well...galacticos at the top of their games, that is not the case now. I hold him in high esteem and don't wish to put down what he achieved...But tactically he lacked a lot, his strength was his man management. The culture of lazy training began under him and we are still paying the price for it. We won CL in 02 but were outplayed in the final and La Real threw away the 03 La Liga rather than us winning it.
    Look I like the guy and what he achieved but i feel his appointment would be a step backwards. I don't think Perez took the decision to get rid of him lightly, and while I think it was handled wrongly, I think ultimately it was the right decision.

    Some of you lot are freakin mental. Hang Ronaldo? Whomever the F said that is a bastard. Everyone blaming Ronaldo, did you guys even watch the game or just read the damn tracker?

    Ronaldo is NOT a striker who receives the ball and holds it. Go (re)watch the game, Ronaldo would receive the ball and NO ONE, NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE would advance to help him. Did he try dribbling too many players? Yes, but he is an attacker, Ronaldo does NOT do a bunch of backpasses.

    Seriously, go get the lynch mob ready for Raul. WTF has he done for 3 seasons or whatever it has been. He had a very nice volley today and a poor finish following it, but was invisible the rest of the game except for putting his cleat into Lehmann's knee (unintentional though).

    How about this?
    1) Blame Beckham, save for his header which led to Raul's post and a couple of crosses, he did nothing;
    2) Blame Gravesen, all he can do his foul players;
    3) Blame Sergio Ramos. He is going to very good, but he should not be the heart of your defense yet;
    4) Blame Caro;
    5) Blame Raul, he is worse than Ronaldo;
    6) Blame Guti, he was not creative at all;
    etc, etc, etc

    Do some of you hope Ronaldo does not score, just so you can talk crap about him? Ronaldo is not the player he was years ago, he does not try as hard either, but your team does him NO FAVORS AT ALL!
