Fine - no one else wants to step up? I'll give it a go.

    Arsenal - QPR
    BST - 15:00
    FSC for the States

I know we all feel like this:

But, hopefully this match will cheer us up a bit as we smash Mark Hughes's bunch. I don't know what the lineup will look like, and frankly I don't really care. I just want whoever's on the pitch to play their asses off and finish their mother-effin' chances! Then, we'll all be:

    C'mon You Gunners!!

Damn... on the one week I am in Florida (Northern) we just have to play during a damn hurricane (and from the looks of it I may not get back to New York on time to).

if we don't stuff mark hughes' rag tag collection then we may as well pack it up and play ping pong instead.

I actually feel sorry for Tony Fernandes, he seems like a nice guy but he is being taken for a ride. I'm sure he has lost his ass by investing in F1, then Ecclestone got him again by unloading QPR, now it seems he is being fleeced by Mark Hughes and Kia Joorbachian. Fernandes is reportedly worth $615 million, but if he keeps investing like this he will soon be down to nothing.

    Podolski up front please.

    And no more Santos!

I actually am concerned about the way we line up. If Wenger insists on the same formation, I'll be furious. It clearly isn't working.

How about more of a 4-3-3 with Cazorla on the left wing, Podolski in the middle and Ox/Walcott (if one is fit) on the right? A midfield of Arteta/Wilshere/Coquelin? Vermaelen moves to LB in place of Santos.

Just throwing it out there. Mix things up a bit.

Great piece from Gingers4Limpar re Podolski and Santos, since we're most likely going to see Santos and I don't think that Lucas is going to get a start in the center.

QPR are like a junkyard full of trashed high-end vehicles. I just hope no one gets hurt playing there. Don't kill me but I want to see Verm on the bench.

We'll have 99% possession and manage to lose 1-0 from a stupid goal in transition. We don't know how to finish. It's depressing.

Woah woah woah, take a step back. Let's talk about getting a shot on goal first before we talk about actually scoring one!

Ebbs and flows, that's the nature of our game. After a week of utter shite, I'm expecting a much improved performance.

Would love to see a few benchings--Ramsey, Santos and Gerv come to mind...just to make a statement...is anyone else available?

3-1 to the good. Pod, Giroud and Kos to score ;)

Doesn't one give up on superstitous habits when they're proven not to work twice in a row? ;)

No way Wilshere is starting. Ox I supposed if he's fully fit.

I think this supposed "crisis" is overstated.

Clearly something happened to the players psychologically during the break, which is unacceptable of course. But to say it's the end of the world, when for much of the season we were doing well is being melodramatic. I blame to some extent Arsene though, and frankly shows why we haven't won anything lately. Too many pussies/bottlers, not enough shit-kickers. Call this odd, but we had a bad disciplinary record in the early Arsene years for a reason, we had determined players.

I expect a win, 2-0. And I guarantee if we play well and get a point at Old Trafford, the naysayers will be silent. It reminds me of last season. After we lost to United (the game the Ox was subbed for Arshavin), everybody wanted Arsene out, but we went 7 games winning (and without the "Arsene out" rhetoric).
