Our defense is ridiculously porous. Ugh.

    2-0 City.

Guendouzi out to sea with his defensive positioning and does no work to track back AT ALL. Extremely disappointing.

    Kolasinac forgot to mark Sterling.

I love Dixon's comment to Kolasinac:

"Space has never scored a goal. Go mark your man!"

Take that you zonal marking mavens.

I was worried a little about this before KO.

The only good thing is that we came with an attitude to play, and actually looked pretty dangerous on the attack.

BUT if our defense is not up to their counters, it could backfire. As it seems to be doing.

    Sigh

That was good double/triple-teaming on KdB and roughing him up a bit. More of that and we might have a little chance.

KDB is running through our defense like knife through butter

Imagine that - a team defending collectively. Truly novel concept.

Next goal is absolutely HUGE. They score it and we could understandably hang our heads. We score it and we're just about back in the game.

Guendouzi escapes a retroactive yellow for diving in the box. Play the game, stay on your feet, and maybe you'll get a legit shot on goal.

Needs to be dropped for a bit because he isn't improving, but what are the other options? Xhaka? Willock?

    Really bad squad construction.

10 fouls, 2 yellows after 34 minutes. Good analysis.

Did Kola hurt himself by the exaggerating roiling on the ground or by the foul? :p

Edit: My bad, he rolled his ankle because of the foul. That completely SUCKS. We now have officially no LB.

My favorite part of Arsenal home matches at the moment is listening to the crowd groan any time a center mid passes backwards.

And now we're down another fullback.

Saka coming on: On one hand he was great in attack last match. OTOH can defend as a LB or a LWB? Who the hell knows.

Meanwhile, 3-0. KdB. Game over. So so sad.

Saka hasn't even made into the game yet.
