Didn't see a match thread, so thought I'd start one. I am about 4,000 miles away in Addis Ababa. No Liverpool shirts on view but plenty of Arsenal and the skanks, a few faded chavski ones and the odd Real, Barcelona and AC Milan. But plenty of sports bars, sweltering heat and a range of [very affordable] local beers.

So, after the focus on Sterling maybe back to football. And one match we must get a positive result, especially after the tawdry links to Sterling and Arsenal.

Glad Lucas is back for this one, that Sturridge and Lallana are fit. Main vconvcern is at the back with gthe suspension of Skrtel.

    So have at it.

    Good start for the thread.
I'm thinking that this is the " Make or Break" match for our season.
Then as you say " No Skirt" nervous time !!!!!!!!!

Addis Abba. Hmmm one place I've never been, wanted to in the old days, not sure now.?

Must win. That's all there is to this one.

If not, we applaud the effort the lads gave toward making a near-impossible comeback in 2015 and go all-in for the FA Cup.

Do we start the kid who is "flattered" by interest from Arsenal, or do we start eleven men who think Liverpool are better than Arsenal and fully expect to beat them?

And he's flattered by interest from Arsenal after playing in the team that did THAT to them.

Trying to stir the pot but all it will cause is problems for him and maybe for us. On the other hand he has to know that every move he makes on the field is going to be scrutinized so he has to be on for the 90+ minutes or he's going to hear about it.

I think this game is the season so I hope he and the rest of the team play like players who deserve 200,000 a year.

The last game was a must win- and we lost. Makes this one even more important if we want to finish top four.

The kid? I say start him, and if he plays as good as he did in the Manure game, he won't be flattered any more. ;)

I expect Sterling to play but maybe upfront with Danny and Coutinho. Kolo takes Skirtel's place and Johnson may be the RWB.

    I'm guessing:

    Belgie
    Can, Toure, Sahko
    Markovic, Lucas, Allen, Moreno
    Hendo Coutinho
    Sterling

Diamond midfield with Coutinho at tip behind Sterling?

Could also go 4 at the back Can RB and Marko up top.

Well I guess Balotelli is truly done at LFC. And if we win without SG, Skitel, Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert, Lallana and Ibe it's gonna be a grand day.

By the way, congratulations to young Brannagan to make the bench. He showed in Stevie's game that he wouldn't be out of place if he got on the pitch. Another of the good young lads coming from the Academy.

yeah not even making the bench is odd. Oh well - it was a low risk gamble that clearly didn't pay off.

that said - it looks like the attacking subs that BR is going with are the quicker pressing types so maybe that's it?

    this is a disaster start.

Should easily be 2 - 0 to arsenal but for two ridiculous migs saves.

Mignolet is this only one to come out of the tunnel so far. Horrible start.

Like the black unis, but don't recognize the team wearing them.
