This Saturday's match (28 Sept.) with Arsenal visiting Elland Road to play Leeds United is being shown live on SKY TV in the U.K. with a 12 noon kick off. 7am on the east coast, and 4 am on the west coast. (I think that those trans-atlantic times are correct!?). Happy viewing.
In North America ...the match will be shown on tape delay on Fox Sports World (FSW) and FSW Espanol at noon ET on Saturday, Sept. 28. The match will be shown tape delay on Sportsnet in Canada at 12:30 p.m. that same day.
Gunners on tape delayed in Canada Sportsnet in Canada will be showing the Leeds|Gunners Game at 12.30PM EDT on Saturday. For some reason that mystifies me they have Charlton\ManUre on at 10:00 AM EDT
Re: In North America WHAT? How is this not the PPV? What is the PPV then? It better not be Manure - Charlton.
Leeds V Arsenal is on tape delay Leeds V Arsenal is on tape delay Tue Oct 01 12:00PM Eastern on Fox Sports Net local channels.
Re: Re: Re: In North America This is just silly. Why would a neutral watch this match? Yes, I know United have a larger following Stateside than Arsenal or Leeds, but gees, at least give me a competative match on the PPV.
Re: Re: Re: Re: In North America Yeah, but isn't the FSW match going to be more widely seen in the States than a PPV match?
Re: Re: Re: Re: In North America Don't you know that if Man Utd is not shown in the US, then Roy Keane and Sir Alex will be over in FSW studios beating people up? Sheesh, some people just don't know what pressure those guys at FSW are under! (Yes, FSW controls the PPV game...)
Fair point Ian. But still, I expect Chelsea v West Ham and Everton v Fulham to be more competative matches and United Charlton. City v Liverpool shouldn't be too bad either. I'd even rather watch *gasp* Spuds v Boro considering the current form of the 2 teams. Its not that I think Arsenal should be on the PPV every week. Rather its United shouldn't be on there every week(of the 4 possible matches United could have had on PPV, all have been). Maybe Rev is right.
Just when you think it can't get worse. They have just announced that the next English "Champions League" game to be shown live on T.V. is......... yes, you've guessed it, ManUre v. Olypiaikos. So it's the "third best, (having to qualify) team in front, yet again of the "Champions of England". Don't it make ya sick!!!!!!
