If that didn't epitomize Martinelli: brilliant run down the byline, cut through two defenders, cross right into another defender with a teammate very obviously unmarked, right next to him

If he shoots, Pickford saves, so he comes out with the greatest dummy shot in EPL history.

NICE to see TIMBER get the chance to meet his goal of playing for us before the season ended. That could be huge for his psyche going into pre-season and next season.

And he has been excellent. High hopes for next season, like a new signing some would say.

Zinchenko and Martinelli give the ball away way too much.

Under the current state of play, it's maybe not meant to be. We weren't perfect. Need to be perfect.

    Proud of the boys.

That's a large pitch invasion at Eastlands. Would we have seen that? Maybe we'll find out next year?

Great season. Just two points short. It hurts, but we have so much to look forward to.

Back at it, lads. And we're gonna come gunning for you (har har) Citeh.

City is a fake team and anything they do is invalid anyway.

Got our business done. 89 points is fantastic. Have to keep pushing forward this summer.

Cut him a little slack playing out of position. He forced a good save from Pickford and put the ball on Havertz head a couple times.

Bittersweet day. Great season. From January onwards we played some of the best football I can remember. Just bummed the team won't get the awards it deserves

Nice to get the win and avoid the negative banter I'm sure we would have heard if they dropped points.

Now Pep needs to take the England job.

I guess, but his final product has arguably been worse from the left all year. There's a reason he was playing out of position--he got pushed out of his

All praise to the lads and the coaching staff. Thank you for a great season and we're with you for next season. I'll be more enthused and cooler headed later. For now...

F*** Abu Dhabi FC, their prick fans, and all this financial doping crap. If they don't get nuked for their ways then f*** the keepers of the game for failing the integrity test.

Couple random thoughts from this one:
    • Thought Tomi did quite admirably playing in the center for Big Gabi after he was subbed off. Thinking back to how shaky we were at the start of the season without Big Gabi, there was a huge risk of a let-off - that thankfully never materialized.
    • Thought ESR did well as a sub with several great runs. Hope he stays, but if we get a strong offer think we’ll have to consider.
    • Hope we don’t get rid of Jesus. He was the change that won it for us today, imo. Intercepting the pass for the winning goal, and just generally creating chaos. That sequence at the end where he sloppily gave up possession, then sprinted back and nicked the ball ball, was huge. Love the effort and spirit after a difficult season for him. Hate to see him leave.
    • Vieira not coming on is telling. Wondering if Big Gabi’s sub was supposed to be a Vieira on for MO8, Martinelli, or Havertz…
    • Was interesting seeing players and families on the pitch afterwords. Had no idea MO8 had that big a family - and it’s easy to tell they’re all related as they are all spitting images of each other.
