Sounds about right except for two things:

    1) You don't need him
    2) We do

    Simply ridiculous.

That would be as ridiculous as Figo going from Barca to Real.

    Wait, that really happened! :)

    Wenger: I don't want Beckham

    Wenger: I don't want Beckham

That's the headline that Skysports is using. Although, nowhere in the story do they quote Wenger as having actually said that.

reminds me of the comic book Viz. they would have these paragraph titles which had nothing whatsoever to do with the content of the paragraph. funny as hell.

Wenger, meanwhile, has rubbished reports connecting him with a £30m bid for Manchester United midfielder David Beckham, following the media frenzy over the player's dressing-room showdown with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Thursday's London Evening Standard printed an 'exclusive' report, claiming the funds were available for the Arsenal boss to make an audacious swoop for the England captain.

'There is nothing true about that,' said Wenger. 'If we want to buy a player, we talk to the club first and ask if the player is available.

'Manchester United would know first and they don't know a thing about it, so there is nothing true about it. People are just trying to take advantage of a story which has come out of United.'
