From what I recall, Reyes grew up supporting Betis (Sevilla's bitter rivals) as a boy because of his father, not Real Madrid or Sevilla. As for a Betis supporter liking Madrid, my understanding is that Barcelona figures more highly than the Galacticos.

i'm almost 100% certain that this is true.

i remember reading somewhere that he was pro-spurs back during USA '94. that and his play with the dutch nats made him one of my favorite players in the world. it made him signing with the arse that much less pleasant.

Sol = Tottenham Hotspur (that meant a whole fecking lot)
    DB10 = Tottenham Hotspur

And if you get Baptista = Tottenham Hotspur (if you can believe 'the Sun')

Catfish check the Pires Biography but I thought it was either Marseille or Metz.

DOH! Good call, need to grab my copy and investigate.

By the way, Binny's Beverage Depot (think THE Mecca of liquor) was donating $$$ from all the purchases made today to our local Humane Society. They had dogs in the store to adopt. My wife had to twist my arm (yeah right) to go and spend money/buy beer for such a great cause.

I couldn't find it, but Pires's Father is Portuguese (Benfica supporter) and his mother is Spanish (Real Madrid supporter).

I heard Pires was Real Madrid, i would presume Van Persie was Feyenord. Im pretty sure Parlour and Adams were West Ham fans.

Good for you! Any support to help them out is great. I'm sitting here surrounded by 5 furry Huskies right now.

Wenger coached Hoddle while he was manager at Monaco, so we have closer ties to him than normal. Hoddle ranks Wenger as one of the greatest managers he had ever had. I'd have to dig up the article to find it, but I don't have time now because I have work from 8-8.

    What about these players?

    Vieira
    Ljungberg
    Pires
    Van Persie[/QUOTE]

    FREDDIE!!!!
I haven't seen anything posted about what team Freddie supported when he was younger.
There is much mention of him possibly becoming a professional handball player or a fighter pilot. He was called up for the National Handball squad.

But he played for Halmstad since he was 5.
That's all I have been able to find.

Actually it is a fetish model/actress/dancer ;) named Masuimi Max, yes that is her real name. I got a free lap dance from her and another one at discount because she is cool as sh!t and I think she liked me because we were at a strip club in Dallas and all I wanted to talk about were her tattoos. I'm a geek, but I got a good show for it. Another pic is on my site along with the story.

Bergkamp has denied that repeatedly. He liked Hoddle but that didn't condemn him to the dark fate of supporting that lot down the road.
