I know this sounds nuts, but hey it's the off-season. I know where the players were born, so please if you can use or find interviews where they have stated which club they followed as a boy. Thanks.
I thought Sol supported West Ham. Senderos had posters of Arsenal players in his bedroom according to some article that was written about him.
Right about Senderos. I read an article about Senderos and his dad said that Phillipe's room was covered in Arsenal posters.
I'm pretty sure Reyes was RM. See the following: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/4250173.stm
Actually, I've looked through a couple pages, including his official page, and it's not answered directly anywhere I've read. However, considering he came up through the youth ranks with Sevilla since he was 12, that club seems a safe assumption.
I heard somewhere that Henry was a Juve fan although i could be wrong, most likely he probably supported a Paris based team seeing as he came from there.
So that's what I have in common with Senderos. We both had pictures of Arsenal players in our bedrooms when we were boys. I knew there was something!
Highly doubtful since he grew up in Amsterdamn and if my memory serves me right Ajax was incredible, when he was a kid. I still think that TH14 probably was a PSG or Ligue 1 supporter of some kind growing up in Paris. NO one has an interview or seen his biography of his boyhood football love! I'm stunned. I thought I knew you people....lol. What about these players? Vieira Ljungberg Pires Van Persie
He was named after the famous Manchester United's player Denis Law. For years, his parents would take him and his brothers to England on holiday, and his love for English football developed during his childhood years. His family were Manchester United fans, but Dennis admired Tottenham Hotspur's Glenn Hoddle the most. "Maybe I was . . . maybe I am, a little different from other players. They will tell you that Pele, Maradona, Cruyff are their idols and I will say Glenn Hoddle." Bergkamp said.
I just read an article saying that Henry got his sidefooted shot technique from Marco van Basten. It also says that Henry was never naturally drawn towards football and it was his father that had all of the ambition, so I doubt that little Titi actually supported a club. http://observer.guardian.co.uk/osm/story/0,6903,1315428,00.html
Don't know which team Henry supported but he used to idolize Marco van Basten. That's why he wears no. 14.
In Spain everyone supports two clubs. Their local team, and Real Madrid or Barcelona. So its entirely possible that Reyes both supports RM and Sevilla.
