Hard to believe, but it's that time of the year again: The first installment of the Arsenal 2012-13 TV schedules for U.S. viewers. A few reminders as we set sail on another new season: 1) I don't include online listings/streams/etc. 2) I don't list HD broadcasts differently 3) I don't include future Champions League/FA Cup/Capital One Cup matches until Arsenal have officially booked their spot in the game 4) I almost certainly will screw up the times on some games because of Daylight Savings Time/British Summer Time and those starting/ending 5) Please read the WORDS IN BOLD ALL CAPS AT THE TOP OF THE LISTINGS. In case you don't, it says all listings are subject to change. Along those same lines ... 6) I don't work for a TV network or have any inside sources, I just scour the Internet to compile these listings. Sometimes networks change their matches. Sometimes networks change games and don't tell anyone. And, I know this will shock you, sometimes I make mistakes. When I make them, feel free to point them out and I'll fix them. All right, on to the listings. Any of the networks picking up any of the preseason stuff in the states? I see it's all on ESPN in England. I suppose that's asking too much of FS.
I would strongly suggest tuning in to FSC at 8pm Eastern today! Good news for me, is that it will be 2pm local time, and I'll be at my local, wearing a home kit jersey (just in case there's any wanky Spurz tourists around)
Nope....we'll just have to wait a bit....Fox might even do a 'local affiliate' thing, kinda like Champions League.
As for the opener, I noticed that matches haven't been announced for Fox Soccer Plus yet. The TV schedule for FS+ shows Premier League matches being broadcast that day but with no mention of teams yet, so it's possible we might end up there. Here's hoping!
Ian Darke tweeted that ESPN's first Premier League game of the season would be Arsenal-Sunderland on Aug. 18.
And, Arsenal-Sunderland is now going to be on ESPN (rather than ESPN2) http://www.epltalk.com/espn-moves-arsenal-sunderland-epl-season-opener-from-espn2-to-espn-45330
Time for more bitching! http://deadspin.com/5906430/id-rath...d-other-complaints-about-soccer-being-on-espn No reason not to have it on The Mothership, though, with College Gameday still not until 2 weeks after then.
Girlfriend and I made a deal when we moved into the city in May that we wouldn't get TV til we both got jobs. Both got jobs past 2 days. Tv ordered just in time for the start of the EPL. Can't wait
Set this up on the DVR last night (friggin' fantasy football day is same day - golf tourney and draft). Cannot believe I smiled that big over seeing a new Arsenal match there in LED reality before me.

According to the channel be in should go live in about 2 hours. Channel is there but just has a countdown (this is directv)
Grrrr, you are correct. That is a pretty big mistake -- I'll post a new list. Thanks for catching that!

I believe so far their only carrier in the U.S. is DirecTV. It will be part of the Sports Pack and available on Ch. 620. For Arsenal this season, I think the only matches they will have are in the Capital One Cup (League Cup, formerly known as Carling Cup). Beyond Arsenal, they will have Spain, Italy, France ... essentially buying up rights to competitions left and right.
Yeah, they are pretty much replacing GolTV and doing pretty much the same thing. So far, the only Arsenal matches that they could possibly have are League Cup. But there is an unsubstantiated rumor that they are going to bid next month on the Premier League US rights (the rumor is that they are going to be the ManCity/PSG/Chelsea of TV Channels). By the way, it was also added to Dish Network, and there is a free preview to all Dish Network customers through 9/11 (I kid you not) on Channel 408. It has alternate audio in Spanish.
