I figure the best to be hoped for is salvaging a point.

I think this will be ugly, 3-0.

I will consider this match a minor success if:

    1. We score.
    2. We don't lose by at least 2 goals.
    3. We don't lose another guy to injury from the match.

    Anything else is gravy.

Will Luque even make the bench? Will Shola play? Is anyone paying attention?

4-0 to the gooners. Shepard Out!!

Your midfield is good. And i heard Martins is back for this game. I expect a good game.

Yes, our midfield is good. Our defense and strikeforce, however, are not. Martins has scored all of one EPL goal, nothing to foam over. 2-0 to France.

    Thx,

Did they change their lineup? FSC hasn't been promoting this game at all.

Setanta Sports is showing the game live on their Xtra channel, and Same day coverage later in the day on the regular channel. FSC isn't showing the game.

Newcastle draws Arsenal 1-1 with a goal from Dyer  in the 30th minute.

At least it wasn't a loss that a lot of us were expecting. I'll take the point.

Excellent result imo. It took an brilliant free kick from Henry to actually beat super Shay. Good to see Dyer actually play 90 minutes and even better to see him get a goal. Overall a solid performance, more please. :)

Sorry, I should have put Setanta Xtra.

My mistake. Actually, the mistake of the people who sent me the TV guide for this weekend. They reversed the FSC and Setanta Xtra games in the guide.

Anyway, who wants to collaborate with me on a book called The Henry Rules. Sort of The Jordan Rules for the EPL.

Watch TH14 haul down a player from behind and not get a card.

Watch TH14 repeatedly harass a keeper when he is taking a kick and not get spoken to.

Watch TH14 place the ball on the 6yd line and then the keeper gets a yellow for setting up his own goal kick.

    Scandalous!

I'd like to see a keeper throw the ball into TH14 the next time he decides to shadow a keeper on a kick. Interfering with the release of the ball from the keepers hands is an automatic yellow... But TH14 would probably score and the ref would allow it.

Given had a great game, except for being about a foot and a half out of position on that goal. I got that same feeling I get every time TH14 has the ball in that position. Had Shay just taken that first step before the kick, it would have been saved.

Great result, nonetheless. To be followed up by a home loss for sure.

    Thx,

    Jay!

We should rest our main players for Celta Vigo and get ready for Pompey on the weekend. Of course we won't and will win on Thursday and lose this weekend in the league. Supporting this club is like watching a car crash in slow motion.

Well! With the 1-0 win today I think the car crash just got a little easier to watch.

Notice, in the ManU-Chelski game, Drogba placed the ball, VDS moved it and was not issued a card. Different rules for different players.

    Thx,

    Jay!
